15 Months

GK us 15 months now and I don't know where the time has gone! Some things he likes right now are... Eating (anything!!), light-switches, D'Ohgee, push toys, spinning, jumping, swinging, slides, turning the t.v. on and off, driving, ringing the doorbell, getting into drawers and cupboards, and helping especially vacuuming and sweeping.
This is before church on Sunday. He looked so handsome!! Thanks Juli for the outfit!
I had taken some pictures of my friends little girl Claire and got a few cute ones of GK too!

Carving Pumpkins!

On Saturday we got together with the Muirs for our annual Pumpkin Carving. We started out going to the Pumpkin Patch, we got there right between rain showers so it was nice to not have it raining but it was really muddy! GK loved driving the tractors, that kid loves steering wheels! We picked out our pumpkins which was a little hard because lots were rotten because of all the cold weather.

Once we had our pumpkins we went through a little "corn maze" it was cute and GK's size but GK stepped in poo and I don't know where. It was really stinky!! But we got a killer deal on the pumpkins!
Then we headed back to do some carving. It was late by the time we got started, GK couldn't stay up to play so we'll still have to let him carve/paint a pumpkin. They really turned out good though. We've come a long way from the standard Jack-o-Lantern faces.
We are so excited for Trick or Treating this year~
Happy Halloween!

New Hospital

Last Friday we GK and I picked up Patrick for lunch. We headed to the new hospital for the open house. It was a lot of fun and good to see Patrick's Dad working there. Our favorite was the helicopter and the ambulance. Hopefully we won't have to see these things up close again.

Last year of "Youth"

Well I am officially 29 years old. I just LOVE my Birthday and I had so much fun, it may have been more of GK's birthday, but his birthday was more for me so I thought it was only fair! We had a party with my Mom & Dad on Sunday night. Wendi's family and Randal were so sweet to encourage my indulgence. My Dad made my favorite-his grilled salmon, and there was so much good food and delicious cake and ice cream. I will have to get some pictures from Wendi. On the morning of The big day we started the morning out right with cupcakes for breakfast.
We took Patrick his sunglasses he had left in the car and he took us to lunch at the Olive Garden. I love that place. Then it was off to the Discovery Gateway center. GK loved this place, I think he needs to be around kids a little more because he seemed more interested in them at first. He loved the small town, they have a construction zone, a house with a lawn-mower, a post man, a few police cars, a park area, a farm, a small store, and a water area. His fav. was the park area, it was for kids 3 & under and they had some slides and toys that were just his size.
Then we headed to the state capitol, I really wanted to see the U.S.S. Utah. It was sunk in the Pearl Harbor attack. Patrick and I saw the sight when we went there a few years back. I don't know what I was thinking, I thought they would have a huge replica of the ship there or something. There were mostly just pictures and only a few artifacts. I was a little disappointed with the exhibit, but the building is so beautiful. It brought back a lot of memories of prom. My Mom met up with us here and we walked around for a bit. Then we went to the O.C. Tanner building (use to be the Hansen Planetarium-where Patrick & I went on our first date!) They spent 24 million in remodeling. It was a beautiful building but honestly I can't tell the difference between that and the jewelry at Wal-mart!
We walked over to the Lion House Pantry for a quick treat. I wanted to go on the tours but we had run out of time. The girl that worked there gave me a free cookie for my birthday! Then we headed home. That drive was the only nap poor GK got all day, he was so tired he fell asleep within about 2 blocks.
Jenn, Brandon, and their nephew Boston came to Pirate Island with us to celebrate my birthday! It was decorated SO cute! Patrick was worried about the swine flu but it seemed pretty clean. The food was okay we just got the pizza because most people around us were eating that. So we ate and played games all night! It was so fun to have Boston there. I hope he had fun!

Thanks everyone for the Super Fun Birthday!!

C'aira

C'aira is Patrick's oldest neice, she is a senior and about to graduate from High school. That makes Patrick feel really old. We took some Senior pictures for her and they were a lot of fun! She was a really good sport and up for just about anything. I will add more pictures but my computer is acting a little funny.

Halloween Party

The Annual Lowder Halloween party was a hit this year. We had our pumpkin parade, where we walked around Lyndsey & Adam's neighborhood, and chose our pumpkins. Lots of yummy food like home-made chili, root-beer, Mish's breadsticks, and caramel apples. We played games and had a really good spook alley. I think the only kid who went through it willingly was Madelyn and Carson. They were all really scared though. Adam and Lyndsey's unfinished basement was perfect. There was a cemetery, a room full of hanging people, a fortune teller, a crazy old woman, and a psycho doctor. Adam who was really scary wheeled all the kids around in a comfy office chair they were then tied to it. I have to say it was freaky, I wouldn't go through it!

Cover it up!

G.K. and I love to use the Kitchen-Aid, but it gets really dusty (I obviously need to use it more). Jenn and Becca have the same problem so we decided to get together and make fun covers for them. Well we had planned a "craft-night" but we didn't plan anything. So after wandering aimlessley around JoAnne's trying to remember what we wanted to do we decided we better get started. It was a lot of fun. I didn't take my camera so I don't have any pics of the construction of the cover, but I really love the material. Thanks Girls, I'm excited for our next craft night!

Conference Weeekend!

I was really bummed Juli and I didn't get into St. George this year. My friend Carina got in and she did awesome! But we went for a fun run up in Millcreek canyon and we totally forgot about not getting into the marathon because it was a gorgeous day! The temp was perfect! We did see an enormous spider, Juli said it was a wolf spider but it looked more like a tarantula! And Juli started kicking it with her foot to see if it was still alive.. I was scared to death!
(This picture was totally stolen from Juli's blog!)
After our run we went to Shaunel's shower (Juli's sister-in-law). She is having a little girl and I am so excited for her. While I was out for the whole morning, Patrick took GK for an adventure. Patrick is really the best Dad ever. I don't give him enough credit. He took him up to Snowbird for the Octoberfest and they got yo ride on the tram! They also got me a really cute jacket that I love! So not only is he an amazing Dad, he's a great husband too.
While the guys were gone to priesthood session (they looked adorable in their matching blue shirts), us girls crafted the night away. We made these way cute books for Thanksgiving. It is a cute table-book while having a great function of helping you remember past Turkey days. I can never remember which house we ate at the last year. I think this will help.

On Sunday morning we went to Jenn and Brandon's house for a huge breakfast. It was so delicious, we had cinnamon twists, eggs, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes with buttermilk syrup. We really could have fed an army! G.K. was pretty good during the morning session. I could not believe how long he sat on Becca's lap looking at a book.
Church does weird things to Patrick...
