st. Patrick's day

We LOVE St. Patrick's Dat at our house! Shawn Shawn the leprechaun came and played some tricks on us, but he left us some treats so it was okay.
I have been wanting to go to the zoo before it gets too hot (and I get too big!) so Lyndsey was sweet enough to join us. We had a lot of fun.
Last year GK loved the carousel, this year not so much! He would NOT sit on the seat. We finished off the day with playing on the playground. It was a crazy day but we had a blast!

Again.. Catching Up!

These past few weeks have been a little crazy for me, I signed up for a C.N.A. class because I have to have it turned in 4 months before I can begin the Nursing program at S.L.C.C. I decided it would be easier to get done now rather than wait so all month I've been going up to Murray/Holiday to take my class. It has been really fun, I have had lots of help from Patrick, Brandon, Jenn, Lyndsey, Michelle, and my Mom. Even Patrick's parents have helped us out a few times. It's been crazy but I'm glad I did it now. Anyways I was looking through some pics and thought I would blog about some!
A few weeks ago we had Jenn and Brandon over for dinner. I think we cooked some ribs but all I remember were the S'mores. I love that it is SpRiNg and it is getting close to SuMmEr!! GK was really into the whole S'more thing. He was a little messy so Jenn was giving him a hand. I love how big he opens his mouth!
One day I took GK to the park and didn't strap him into the stroller and he lunged out of his seat. He had the biggest scabs on his head but he seemed okay so we went to the Peppermint Place and then had a picnic right next to a park. I didn't see the park until we were driving away.
We have been loving the nice weather and can't wait until it is a little more consistent.

Dr. Seuss

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday. I Love Dr. Seuss. I worked at a kiosk in the mall when I was a teenager and I have read a lot of Dr. Seuss. Some of my favorites are.. The Sneeches, I had Trouble In Getting To Solla Salew, Yertle The Turtle, and there are so many! GK's favorite is for sure the ABC book. He really likes it, I think it is the rhythm. Anywho! We had green eggs and ham and I read it to GK while he was eating. Yeah, he hardly touched the green eggs, but he loved the ham for breakfast. Then we went to the library. I was hoping GK would fall asleep in the car but he has been getting his 2 year old molers so he was pretty awake so we went to the aquarium.

He loves the aquarium. The boat is always his favorite, he can't sit on the chair and steer it so I have him sit on my lap and it is the most uncomfortable chair ever! It really leans forward. But soon he'll be big enough to reach on his own.
"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."
Dr. Seuss
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Fiddler On The Roof

On Feb. 28th Patrick & I went to see Fiddler On The Roof at Hale Center Theatre. I love this play I think I saw it when Juli was in it at Hillcrest but that was a long time ago. my favorite part is when Tevia dances in the If I were a Rich Man, I didn't think he was going to dance but he shook all he had! I just love that! And my favorite song is Do You Love Me? It is such a good show. I am so happy that Patrick got me season tickets!! Oh and we saw TJ and Kim there! It is such a small world, it was fun to catch up with them.

Dinosaur Museum

On Feb. 25th Gk & I went with Lyndsey and Chaye and their boys to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. We had SO much fun, when we walked in and saw the big dinosaur GK said "WOW!" He loved it! Dyllan was so cute with him, he would pick up GK and take him to see something really cool, and GK loved it! The computers they had were a big hit too.
We could have stayed there all day, GK was getting so tired though, he laid down in the sand while searching for bones, I thought he was going to fall asleep! We had a blast! Thanks Lyndsey & Chaye

Catching Up!

On Feb. 17th it was Ash Wednesday, and keeping with tradition we all went to the Cathedral of The Madeline for Mass. Granted it was in Spanish again, so we didn't take a whole lot home. GK loved the building. He wanted to play with everything. For Lent this year I gave up ice-cream which I have never given up before. I may have cheated a few times and had sherbet but to me it's not the same thing! I really like this tradition the Catholic church has, I think it has a lot of meaning. I am giving up ice cream and replacing it with scripture study.

We have still been playing LoTs of soccer. GK was excited when Boston was at the soccer game too. I couldn't resist taking a bunch of pictures, these ones are the best.. It's really hard to get two toddlers to look at you at the same time!
But with a lollipop anything is possible!
We have been a little Ball crazy at our house. Ball is usually the first word out of GK's mouth every morning. He is ObSeSsEd with his basket-ball which we have to keep out in the garage or out back because it is so loud when he bounces it. He is a pretty good throw!

But his favorite toy is still D'Ohgee! She has been shedding for the past two weeks I think I just might go crazy!
