Goblins!

We had planned a trip to Goblin Valley last year and it didn't happen so we made it happen this year and it was SO MUCH FIN!!

There were so many places to explore and it seemed like you could just go anywhere without all the restrictions that you usually run into.

Gk had so much fun crawling through the caves and tunnels. and I think everyone really had a good time. It was a great place! You should go!

Jennah's Big Day

I can't believe that Jennah is already 1! (Still and it's really December!) She is such a joy to all of us! Jenn worked so hard to have her party be just right and it seemed so effortless and was all cute! Seriously I don't know how she does it all!

There were trailer rides and a pinata and the kids played in the bouncy house. It was so fun to hang out with so many people that we love. Jenn, Brandon, and Jennah are just like family to us and theyreally have some amazing families. We are blessed to know them!

More hikes and some Fishing!!

Oh this hike was not very easy.. Gk had only gone about 10 feet and decided he didn't want to be in the mountains.. Possibly my fault for going so much but it is therapeutic for me! So I had to carry him most of the way up and down. 3/4 of a mile isn't very far, but it is when you carry a 3 and 1 year old!

Patrick and Brandon finally got a chance to go fishing up at Teapot lake.. We took the kayak so they didn't have to fish off the shore. I don't think the fishing was very good. It was probably perfect right as we were leaving! But we had lots of fun getting all messy and eating lots of treats!

Gk found an old fireman costume that he lOvEs!! It was pretty cute how he wanted to wear it ALL the time.

We got a wagon! It is so much fun for the kids to have a ride on the back of the lawnmower!

To the Mountains!

The water level was really high all spring and the first part of summer. So when it started ti not be quite so dangerous we went up hiking. The boys were always too busy so Jenn and I would just take the kids. This was a really short fun hike right off of Wasatch Blvd. seriously only 10 minutes. Someday I want to repel down the waterfall... but not with kids!

Patrick and I took the kids on a drive over the guardsman pass again! It was really fun to get out and play! We stopped in Midway or Heber (I really don't know the difference :) for a fun picnic!

Gk did really good on this hike! It was really fun~

Jenn brought some yummy cookies and we had to hurry home because it looked really stormy!

Summer Fun!

Gk LOVES the slip and slide! It was really a big hit!
Patrick taught him that you slide the best when there isn't any resistance of a swimming suit...
So beware!

We met up with Lyndsey, Benton, and Cooper, and Jenn and Jennah to check out the animals at the Wheeler Farm! I love that place but it was blazing HoT!! We didn't last too long but it was long enough!

And Gk learned hot to make himself a peanut butter and Jelly sandwich!

Now, I still usually make them for him because he just eats the jam out of the jar. But he can do it!

County Fair, Town days, & The Zoo

We went to the County Fair and Brandon and Jenn weren't planning on going but when their car broke in almost the parking lot we told them they should just come and go with us. I LOVE the fair! The people watching is the best! They had some fun kid games. Gk got to play a few but his favorite was the pony ride! We didn't stay long, the kids were getting restless and if I remember right we were all starving. But it was a lot of fun!

Next to the Lewiston parade, Bluffdale Town days is my favorite! It may be because of the tanks they have in the parade. There is a lot of candy in this one too! They have some really fun games and activities for kids after too so it's a tradition!

I think I really like the zoo more than the kids do...

Vin Hagen

Patrick's work has a cabin in Idaho called Vin Hagen. The place is super old, has bats and mice, and is like a 4-5 hour drive away... But the place is a blast!! We weren't able to go there last year (new baby & new house) so we were really excited when we were given an opportunity to go there this year.

We spent the first morning with just our family but it was a lot more fun when Patrick's family came... (we really missed Adam & Lyndsey's family)!

We spent a lot of time in the lake. I don't think the canoe was to shore for more than 5 minutes the whole time we were there. We ran up to "town" and got some inner tubes to float on the lake and spent some time in the hot tub!

We have a couple heroes!! Gk fell in the lake and Bradon and Paxton saw him. Paxton pulled him out of the water. Gk still talks about it sometimes! So grateful to these two guys!

We had SO much good food. I think we were all worried there wouldn't be enough and I don't think I've eaten that much in a long time. Unfortunately/fortunatley it was mostly made up of s'mores.

Grandpa got all the kids making bow and arrows. Some were pretty impressive!

We had contests on which set would shoot furthest, straight, and stick.

I don't remember who won what but it was really a lot of fun!

We really had a great time and hope we can go next year too!

Park & Zoo

I love that these kids are getting SO big!! They are so much fun to watch as they grow and explore! I really love these ages!

The Zoo had a great dinosaur exhibit! It was so much fun to tease Gk!!

He would get so scared of them it made me laugh a little...

That's kinda mean but he was really funny all scrunched up in the stroller!

He was still a little nervous about this one, but with a little coaxing I got him on it long enough to take a picture!

Sh!t Creek

Well Patrick had the fishing bug. So we went to one of his favorite fishing holes.

Sh!t Creek. Patrick's Mom would take him there when he was little and he would catch tons of fish.

Gk has been pretty stoked about fishing too... He has a light-up superman fishing pole that doesn't really work but he LoVeS it!!

We're still working with Bentley. She hasn't realized the joy of fishing yet.

DeLane's Eagle court

My nephew up in Logan got his Eagle scout a while ago and had his Eagle court in July. We wanted to go up and do some fishing on our way so we stopped in Mantua to check out the lake.

It was such a pretty day. We didn't get one bite but we sure had fun!

The eagle court was really great. Colby looked all grown up. Gk slept through the whole thing

We stopped back at the lake on our way home and I think we just missed the "biting time.. It was still really nice to get away! We're going to try again next year for sure.

Gk's Birthday.. Continued!

The day efter Gk/s birthday is Pioneer day, so we thought we'd celebrate a little more. We went to the V.I. for dinner (Thant's lingo for Village Inn). We went up Butterfield canyon to try to find the caves which we couldn't find but we had a nice drive anyway!

Then we went to a little park... it was kinda scary and really pretty hot. So we went home to play with our new birthday presents!! We tried out the pool, the slip & slide, the aquadoodle, the car, and GK got to go for a motorcycle ride with Daddy!

We finished the night off with a Drive-In movie!! I love going there! We went with Brandon and Jenn and they have a 12 passenger van that was perfect!! We took out the back seat so we had nice comfy seats. All the kids fell asleep and we got to eat Jenn's yuumy caramel popcoorn! We saw Cars 2 and I thought Gk would watch more of the movie but it's kinda hard when there is so much going on. I think everyone had a fun day! We are so happy that Gk is a part of our family. I don't know how we got so lucky!

Gk's 3rd birthday party!

Gk is so lucky to have his birthday over the 24th of July weekend! At least in Utah.

We had a party for him at home. It was kind of a Car's theme but really he's all boy so anything goes! He was such a good helper for the party. He wanted in on all the action.

It was really just family and Jennah (you know Jenn & Brandon). Gk got spoiled again!! He got SO many presents and we had a pinata.

Now this little boy LOVES birthdays.. and it's not for the presents. He really likes some birthday cake. He loves the candles and the singing but most of all the birthday person gets to take a bite out of the cake! If it's your birthday watch out, he'll bite it for ya! We thought he'd be more into the cake but with everyone there he was a little shy... it wasn't until he thought he was alone that he really went to town on that thing.

(Oh and Nerds aren't a great idea with frosting...)

Bear Lake!

I really can't believe we made it to Bear lake! Sure wish we could have gone again with the boys! (We planned it but it just never happened. Hopefully next year) But we still had lots of fun even though they were missed!

I drove up with the kids that late morning and it really went pretty smoothly. We got there at almost the same time as Jenn and her family! It worked out perfectly! The water was really high and so the beach was kind of in the weeds. They had tried to clean it up some so we still had some sand to play in.

Bentley really just ate Cheetos the whole time.. Jennah fed her Cheetos (So nice to share!)

And Bentley would find Cheetos in the sand and eat those as well (Not a good idea! She had a hard time passing all this sand poor girl! Where was her mother?!)

Apparently I wasn't taking pictures, I had to steal these from Jenn's blog! (Sorry! but Thanks) Gk had so much fun with Jenn's brother Court! He was in Heaven!! Court was SO nice to play with him. Gk gets plenty of girl time I think sometimes he just wants to hang with the guys! Thanks again Court! The kids were pretty messy and tired so it was time to pack up and go!

But we had to stop at Jenn's favorite shake place and I must say they were delishe!

I was hurrying back to a softball game and Patrick was meeting me there to watch the kids while I played... Well they were a MESS!! They were covered in filth and I was out of diapers and Bentley had pooped through her drawers!! Poor Patrick had to clean up after our road trip after he'd been working all day for us. Thanks Babe! You are the Best!

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures taken up at Silver Lake in the middle of July. It was SO pretty and the pictures are amazing. I am really happy with them. But when we were heading down we stopped at a natural spring to fill up our water bottle and when we got almost to the bottom of the canyon there was a really bad accident and they said it would be at least a 3 hour wait. I had plans to go see Harry Potter with Teena so I couldn't miss that. We turned around to go back up Guardsman's Pass. It was such a pretty drive. I really liked it. I was a little distracted because we only had 1/8th tank of gas. But when we got to the top we had to get out and look around! It was gorgeous!!

We went down a little further and we saw a cow moose. We backed up so the kids could see it and our Low Fuel light came on so we didn't stay for long. It was a really nice drive down. Funny how some things can could be a real bummer could be so fun!

... But I wouldn't post about the real bummer things!

1st Kayak ride

We drove up to Tibil Fork (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) to put the kayak in the water and get up in the mountains for a little bit. We learned a lot on our first trip out.

Things like, park close, unload the kayak first, try the life jacket on Bentley before you go...

Gk loved the ride
Bentley screamed the whole time! Poor thing. she would be okay for a moment when I'd point out a duck or let her touch the water but she just wanted that life vest off!
We really should have taken GK's fishing pole with us. We didn't even think about it. All the people there fishing and he was so sad he didn't have a pole. Next time hopefully we'll remember a few things we didn't know!

We just wanted to take the kayak out on some water and try it out with the kids... Well the Herriman pond wasn't open that weekend, The Riverton Pond we thought of was closed too. What could the odds have been so we thought we'd try Daybreak, but we don't have a permit so we just went to a little splash park. I didn't even know this was a splash park. I'd been there dozens of times. The kids still had a blast but I think the adults were a little disappointed!

So we went next door and got us some treats, then we were all HaPpY!

More Raging Waters.. I mean Seven Peaks!

We sure do love our pass of all passes, even if we did only really go to the water park~

Sometimes we'd just go for a couple of hours to get out! I'm glad I got a couple of pictures!

Proof that Brandon actually came. Gk was so happy to have a guy around!

I wish I could say that swimming zonked the kids out every time. The girls for sure, but GK not so much! You know he played hard when he fell asleep on the way home.

Play date with McKell!

We played in the yard non-stop this summer! We were lucky enough to get McKell to come over and play with us one day. I think she was sad that Bentley was napping but she was happy to blow bubbles for GK & D'Ohgee.

The Aquarium

I really like the aquarium. I think I like it more than the kids do, but I think the penguins are SO stinking cute! We'd go there more if everytime we left there wasn't a tantrum about the gift shop. Gk sure tries, every time!

This picture pretty much sums up what happens when I try to take a picture! But at least they are both looking!

Bentley is such a sweet heart!

So I wanted to get a couple of pictures with Bentley and a pineapple (I know I'm totally random..) and GK just had to get in on the "fun"! Of course with a fishing pole as his prop!

4th

A few days later we had everyone over again for the 4th (and to help us eat all the leftovers! We sort of over ordered the food!) Carson got a new puppy and we put pop it's in the wood shavings. It was a super fun and easy party! The neighbors even let off some fireworks that were amazing!!

We made the trek up to Lewiston for the 4th of July!! We woke up early and drove up just in time for the parade. The parade was perfect this year! We got pelted with candy and got to see all the animals and princesses and bands right up close! The kids were on a little sugar high -Gk's tantrum in the middle of the parade, but it's a long parade and all you have is this candy, and they keep throwing more at you all the time! (Or it could have been the powdered doughnuts on the drive up)

After we went to the festival and Gk was in heaven! There were tons of bouncy houses but the lines were a little long. Brandon was nice enough to take Gk in it because he has a hard time climbing up the ladders and things. Brandon got pretty banged up, thanks again Brandon!!

We went to Jenn's aunts house for the red white & blue party! It was really fun! The food was delicious! Becca can sure cook up a hamburger!! The girls got a good nap and cow was in the corn.. who knew that was bad!?! They sure looked cute!

We went back to Jenn's for some rest, then we went to Garrick & Holly's farm! That is the most fun place ever!!! Gk loves those cows. Those Halls work so hard and their kids are adorable. Gk just looks up to them SO much! We got to see how they milk the cows, Gk fed the baby goat, Gk got a ride on the Ranger. It was so much fun! Always the highlight!!

We started on our way home with some ice cream from Casper's. Too bad the kids fell asleep before we got there!

The ~1st~ Birthday Party!

Before we could have Bentley's 1st big party she had to go to the dr. and get some shots (Not that our families have rampant serious diseases or anything). She was such a trooper, got high marks!! She's a little petite but doing SO good! We have been loving the fresh summer fruits and veggies too! can't wait to get more from our garden and plant some fruit trees!

The first time Patrick and I went to Hawaii we learned that it is tradition to have a luau for the the child's first birthday. We decided then that we wanted to do this too. It was SO much fun. I wish I had taken more pictures if that is even possible!! But thanks heavens Jenn took some too and sent them to me! (Thanks Jenn!)
We had it catered from our favorite Hawaiian restaurant Mo' Bettah Steaks. It is better than the luau food in Hawaii, in my opinion. My friend Hana's brothers started it a few years ago and it is doing really well. It was so nice to not have to worry about the food! I think everyone ate enough. Garett gave me a huge hug and said thank you so much for the yummy food! Such a cute kid!
Bentley got spoiled like CrAzY!! She is so loved and loved all her presents! She's funny, she know when things are hers and she has a hard time sharing, hopefully as she gets older she'll learn that sharing is fun! Instead of a pinata we had a pool full of wood shavings for the kids to find candy in. I thought Bentley and Jennah would like it more but it made a huge mess!
I wanted to make Bentley a barbie cake, I think I bit off more than I could handle but I did it! She was pretty cute, I put the candles in the other cake and then switched them and she was so mad that I took her cake away. someone had to give her a taste of the barbie cake before she would even look at it! THen she loved it and she even shared some with me and made me a mess!
We are so happy that Bentley is in our family! She has made it so much better with her precious spirit! She is such a sweet-heart that I can't wait to hold every morning!

Look Who's 1!!

I really can't believe that my little Bentley is one year old! She has grown up so much but it has gone by SO fast! It is so amazing. It has been such a busy year, I've loved every single moment with this girl! Patrick stopped by on his way to a meeting and got her out of bed! I think she would have been happy with just that.

We let her take a nap then on with the show! We planned on going to Raging Waters/7 Peaks but Scott was in the hospital, he'd had some heart problems and we wanted to go see him and be around in case anything happened. (It's really hard to keep my phone on me at the water part!) We went to see him and he looked really good. I didn't take any pictures though. We got to see Grandma Pat, another highlight of the day!

After the hospital we wanted to play so we went to Garnder Village because they have yummy treats and I wanted to take some pictures of the kids. They were pretty funny, they wouldn't hold still for 2 seconds... they might have been on a sugar high~

Then we let Bentley nap again. I really tried to give GK some extra attention while Bentley was napping. It was getting harder and harder for him to let his little sister get all the attention. We had Jennah over for a spaghetti dinner (which they brought half of!) and cake and ice cream. Gk helped Bentley open her presents. I think he was a little disappointed. But he still had fun!

I always like to make the cake but I really don't have the time or the skills but I think it might be more healthy if there is such a thing, but it didn't taste as good. At least it hadn't been sitting on the shelf for a week! Gk had been trying to get to the cake All Day!! He was a good helper with the candles! Bentley got to be such a mess she got a bath! My Mom and Dad came and we gave them some cake. My Dad saw there was a rock on his plate and he was a little concerned, when I told him it was chocolate and it belonged on the cake he laughed pretty hard. With Gk & Bentley I wouldn't be surprised to find rocks in my cake either!

Anyways it's been one big fun party and it isn't over yet! We just love Bentley so much. She has brought something special to our family! She gives the worlds wettest and most tender kisses! She loves to help (she really tries to help me clean up!) She loves hugs. She is such an active little thing. Gk & Bentley will play so cute together. I wish she wouldn't grow up quite so fast but we're loving every second! We sure do love you Bentley "Piper"Ann I hope you know that!

Every Chickens Worst Nightmare!

Yes, that would be my darling Gk!! Did I mention we got chickens?!?! Well they have been so cute until just recently they've gotten a little bigger and they are really awkward! They could fly out of their make-shift home and I don't really like picking them up. (I've had bad experiences with chickens in the past!) So I send GK out there and he just tortures the poor little animals.

I tried to give the chickens a break by giving Gk a home made popsicle. I had to put them in the deep freeze because he wouldn't leave them alone in the freezer in the house. I really didn't realize how much colder that freezer is. I gave him his treat and it stuck right to his upper lips and fe was freaking out. Telling an almost 3 year old to wait while I get a cup of warm water is futile. He just ripped it right off with half of his upper lip. He didn't care though he just wanted his popsicle, he got pretty mad when I made him wait for me to rinse the blood off!

So as a reward for being such a tough kid I let him play with the chickens. This time outside, and Bentley woke up. Turns out she like the chickens just as much as GK. She would get SO close to them it really surprised me! I don't think we'll get any eggs after how they've been treated but they sure are fun for the kids!

Father's Day weekend

Last week my sister was in town and we went swimming with her and her kids. It was so fun to just relax and hang out. I didn't take one picture witch is not like ma at all! But after we went to the Hill Air Force Base but we got there a few minutes before it closed so we only saw the planes outside. I think it worked out perfectly for our young little family though. Gk was loving the planes, I couldn't get him to turn around for one second! Man, when that place closes they aren't messing around. They want you out of there, not only out of there but off the premises!

Then On Friday we had a surprise birthday party for my dad. It was so nice to have some family in town! Who knew I had such a big family! My Grandma came who is just amazing! She was totally doing the dishes, she is such a hard worker! Love her! My Aunt & Uncle came who just live in St. George but I neglect them. I never wanted to bug them, but they are so fun I think I need to! My Unlce Randal came who is a Mac Pro! Really the man's a genius! We even had some neighbors come and it was so fun to catch up with them! My dad was genuinely surprised, it was fun to celebrate him!

We also celebrated Father's Day that weekend too! One of my presents to Patrick was to not take a billion pictures (I am regretting that one!) We went to Mish's house and got to hang out with Patrick's brother and his family from Wyoming. It was a lot of fun! We are so lucky to have Patrick who takes such good care of us.. We love him to pieces!!

Cooper!!

Lyndsey has been expecting this little bundle of joy for a little bit! On Sunday the 12th she was having contractions all day so my MIL decided we needed to have a "Hen Party"! What is a hen party? ... I'm still not sure. But we took Lyndsey for a walk to keep her contractions going and we fed her some yummy sheet cake. We gave her some positive baby vibes and convinced her she was in labor, and lo and behold she really was. At 7:30 AM on the 13th Cooper was born. He is such a handsome little man. I think he looks more like Lyndsey, he is such a sweetie!!

So I've been wanting to have Benton & Dyllan over while Lynds was in the hospital. It just so happened that I was watching Jennah that day too. Well let me just tell ya, I don't think we'll have 5 kids. I was a little overwhelmed, I'm not gonna lie! It was so fun over-all, but there were a few stressful moments! I think Dyllan wished he went to school. Benton and Gk were pretty easy. Bentley wanted to be held the whole time and that didn't make it easy. We watched Gnomeo and Juliet and played played played (Outside while the girls "napped")!

But it was really all worth it for little Cooper. We already love him so so much!

A Park, A Wedding, & A Birthday

Jenn got to watch her niece Avery (she's the same age/similar personality to Gk) so we thought it'd be fun to go to the park.. Well it turns out that the park was hosting the Riverton Arts Festival! It was pretty fun. Gk LoVeD the bubble pond! Avery, Jennah, & Bentley all loved the pin wheels. It didn't seem crowded until we lost sight of Avery, I don't know how. She was right in front of us then all of a sudden she vanished. Well they have the bouncey houses and it must have sucked her in! It was really a lot of fun! I really wanted to go back later but we didn't get a chance. Hopefully next year!

My friend Hana (We worked together at E.W.S.) got married to her best friend a few weeks ago. They are just such a happy, sweet couple. Hana is from Hawaii and her wedding was so Hawaiian. It was just like being at a Luau. Patrick was really sad he couldn't make it (He was working in the yard :( Poor guy!) The reception was catered by Mo' Bettah Steaks. Hana's brother's started it here a few years ago and if you haven't been you need to go! I love it and I don't eat meat! But the dancing was so fun, it was such a friendly atmosphere I loved her wedding! The kids really liked it too, but we were sitting next to the wedding cake and Gk LOVES cake (especially birthday cake, he is always the first one to take a bite out of the cake!!) Some of the numbers got a little long between so we went outside and took a few pictures. I was really sad that I missed Hana's hula though!

After the wedding we went to Boston's 3rd birthday. It was so nice of Boston to invite us, I think we need to work on our manners a little bit... Gk tried to open up Boston's presenst. Bentley was stealing candy, and I need to double check the locks on the door! But it was so fun. The swimming was a blast. Those Muir's know how to party!! Thanks again!

St. George!

Last weekend we had an impromptu trip to St. George. We'd talked about going with Jenn and Brandon and somehow last minute everything fell into place. It was really meant to be because our niece needed a ride south to stay with her Grandma. So we packed up everyone we could fid and were on our way! (After Gk tried to go with just he and Jennah, he was playing in the car and put the car in neutral! So, no more playing in the car!) It was a pretty smooth trip down. The kids all did really well, we teased Jenn that she had to pee a lot but really we were all grateful for the break!

We stopped at Wendy's for dinner and Gk fell back on has chair, he had to have had a headache after that!

We stayed the first night at the Ramada which was really nice because they have a yummy breakfast, a nice pool, and it's pretty much in the mall! So we got ready and we even gave Bentley her very first pony tail!! We had to entertain Gk with Brandon's phone and when that wore out it was pillow fight time!

We did some shopping (Patrick and Gk opted for some swim time, and Brandon was so nice to help us with the girls so we could do some shopping ~I don't know why St. George has such better deals than here.) and got some really cute stuff, but I wish I would have got more.

The it was time to check out and get some lunch. We went to a really yummy place that I've always wanted to go (mostly for the ice cream) and it was really good. Brandon won Jennah a stuffed animal in the grabber machine.

We really like to visit with Brandon's Grandparents that live in St. George. They are So nice to let us come get out of the sun. Gk is like a bull in a china shop in their beautiful home so we put him outside to chase the cat. We saw a humming bird nest there too. It was nice to have a place to rest before we could check into the condo. It's so nice to stay somewhere where there's an extra room and a kitchen. When the babies are eating their food and we need to wash out bottles and even to have somewhere else to go so we don't wake other people up at night or in the early morning.

We got all settled and went for a quick swim. It was hot but the water was a little too cold for me and Bentley. Gk loved the little splash park they had. Bentley and Jennah were in matching swim suits (so cute!! Those poor girls!)

Then we headed off to my cousins wedding. I probably should have spent more time with my family that I rarely get to see. There was an uncle there that I've only met once before. But it was really nice to be there and see everyone, we get caught up pretty quick! The reception was beautiful! My cousin Alisha looked so gorgeous and so happy.

Gk was loving the little statue named Mary, she was right in a little stream (like 2" of water) and he was really pretty cute with her. This caused some serious anxiety for Patrick. I'm still not sure why, (true I was gabbing with my family) so after the reception we called it a night.

We did chil-lax for a minute. Patrick built a little fort for Gk and I think we've decided to get him a bunk bed. He really liked it!

On Sunday morning we got some dough-nuts (you should have seen the look on Brandon's face when I suggested bananas.. ) and went to hike the Dixie rock. It really is the perfect little hike for us. Jennah and Bentley both fell asleep in their carriers. Gk had SO much fun running around. As did Patrick and Brandon chasing lizards, we did see a huge one!

Brandon's G-parents know all the cool places to check out and I'm so glad they told us about this splash park. It was SO much fun! there was a small river and a few places were the water splashed out. It was so nice to cool down a little bit after our hot hike! I think we stayed there a little longer than any of us had planned.

We went back to the condo and packed up while the boys grabbed lunch and some replacement decorations that Bentley had broke! Oops! We got back int he big mariachi van for the trek home and it went by really fast! We got out to stretch out our legs (it was really windy!) and the kids were being so cute!

Thanks everyone for a fantastic little get-a-way! That was too much fun! I'm already looking forward to the next adventure!

So, people keep asking me what we've been up to and I really can't remember, until I look through some pictures. Well. Gk has been up to some trouble! (He's not the only one and this isn't the only time!) The computer and desk is still a mess.. Does anyone have any ideas for permanent marker remover?

Gk has been so naughty! She keeps trying to dig out under the fence. And she cries and cries when we leave her outside. Poor puppy!
Gk and Patrick built an awesome blanket fort in the theatre room. It was pretty fun!
And we got our garden planted! A little late but it's a weird season. I don't think it will make much difference that we didn't plant until June! Patrick has been wanting to work in the yard for months but the weather this year is just not cooperating! And yes I have the most goofy face in this picture but if you only knew how many tries it took to get us all in it you'd understand!
I know there's more that we've been up too.. Some play dates and good times at the park. We love to go for walks to get yogurts too! We'll try to get more pics of those!

For Mother's Day Patrick got me tickets to the u2 concert. We both really like the band, but Patrick isn't really a concert guy. So it was really nice of him get me the tickets. We were so worried about getting there on time, yeah they didn't start until 9:00! The Fray started before and they were really good, but we were really just there to see u2!

The stage was amazing as was the band. I loved every second! Patrick is so cute, I think it was a little too loud for him but I think it needs to be because every one is singing along and I'd be upset if all I could hear was the crowd.

Oh Thanks Jenn & Brandon for watching the kids! Don't know what we'd do without you guys!

15, 11, & some bread!

Patrick's right hand man at work is Arnold. He's a super nice guy and his daughter had her quincinera on Saturday. It was SO nice. They had it at the Fair Grounds and I heard the food was amazing and the band was really good, it was pretty loud. We weren't staying long. We went to dinner at Biaggi's at the Gateway, So yummy!

On Monday Bentley turned 11 Months. I can't believe she is going to be 1 so soon! She is such a happy fun baby! I can't believe how much she is walking. She tries to talk, it sounds like she days hi all the time. She definitely has some of GK's personality. She loves to take things out, it doesn't matter what. If she's making a mess she's happy! We just love her to pieces!

This is some bread I had left out over night and forgot to put away so it was really stale.. apparently that's how GK likes his bread. Usually he won't eat bread he just picks off the goods and eats them. Glad I know now!

Ogden Marathon

I have been trying for a while to get into the Ogden Marathon. It is such a pretty course and it sells out really fast. I finally got in this year and I have been so excited.

My Mom helped me take the kids on the front-runner up to Ogden to the expo to pick up my packet. It was a really fun trip.

At the expo I got my leg taped for my "shin splints" and we got ice cream that is made by a tractor (which was really yummy)! We also got lunch at this cute little shop in the middle of the train stop in Ogden. It was really good too!

The race was okay, I hadn't run in 2 weeks because of my left leg. I had caught a cold the day before so I was really achey. I didn't take my watch. My ipod didn't work. I thought they'd have shot blocks but they had shot gu's. It was a really hard race for me mentally but I'm so glad I got in and I'm so glad that I finished. My time was 4:35 (could have been a lot worse!)

My sweet parents came out to see me finish. I'm so glad they did. I don't know what I'd do without them! Thanks Mom & Dad!!

10 Months, Mother's Day & Stuff

Bentley turned 10 Months almost a month ago. She is such a fun easy girl. She loves Food she loves Gk she loves to stand and walk and be independent. She really likes crawling up the stairs! She has my love of ice cream and she loves to laugh and make others laugh. Anytime she sees a tummy she'll put her open mouth on it (like she's giving raspberries) and look up and smile really big. It is so cute! I love this little girl SO much!

On Mother's Day I woke up to Patrick grinding wheat to make me whole wheat waffles. I really liked them too but he wasn't a big fan. It was such a wonderful day. Patrick & the kids really spoiled me! I love being a mom!

Here are just some random pics that I've had. These kids are getting too big.

Bentley loves to walk behind things. She walked behind this tricycle for the longest time in a circle. It was pretty funny! Gk's favorite thing lately is squirting. He will be outside and play so good, the dog is usually soaking wet but I'm sure she loves it too!

It has been so long since I've posted anything. I had lost my camera, then found it but lost my pictures but my Uncle Randal helped me find them and I'm just getting around to it.

So for F.H.E. one night we colored easter eggs. It was a super big mess! But it was pretty fun!

On the Saturday before Easter we went to the Bluffdale City Easter Egg hunt. It was really fun, I love that they look for the eggs in the weeds and bru

sh. Lyndsey & Michelle were there with their families and Vickie was also there to help. Gk only got 3 eggs but he still had a blast!

Gk has a crazy obsession riding his bike through out the house (drives the dog crazy!!) he rode it into the kitchen to find what the Easter bunny brought him! He loved the candy and his gun. Weird how he didn't care about his new Easter outfit.

Bentley was all smiles, she got her first taste of a cadbury egg. I do think she liked it! Patrick was a good sport. The Easter bunny didn't forget him.

We went to my parents house before church. We got to have some carrot cake with Wendi & her family. My Mom wasn't there, she was teaching a lesson for another ward. I still feel bad we missed her.

We made it to church for sacrament but we didn't even last the whole hour. Gk was so hopped up on sugar, we didn't think it would be good to tie him down at church :)

We went to Michelle's house for our Easter egg hunt. She has such a nice yard and some really good hiding places!

McKell cleaned house. She found the most money. All the kids got tons of candy and we had a delicious dinner. Gk was obsessed with the cats. I found him with his hands around its neck lying on top of it. Poor animals, we have a Lennny!

Oh how we all love this little family. We were so happy to be able to be a part of Jennah's day. I know she won't remember a thing but I know she'll remember that SO many people that love her like crazy!! The whole day was absolutely perfect. Jennah was an angel at the temple. It was so lovely to see all the people that care so much for this little angel. After there was a really nice blessing and dinner. The blessing was beautiful, I've never seen such a big circle. I thought for sure Brandon was going to say the blessing in spanish! It was just a great day. I was supposed to take pictures at the dinner and I totally failed. There were just so many people to chat with I'm sorry Jenn.

With this being so close to Mother's Day I just have to give a shout out to McKinnah! She is such an amazing woman. I can't put myself in her shoes. I know she's had a hard journey and I know that it will probably continue to be hard. High school can be tough. But I hope that she knows that she is the mother of all mothers. To give such a gift to someone else shows that she truly put Jennah before herself.. and that's what mother's do! I'm sure she know this but I'm sure she has hard days. So Kin, We love you!

What's Happening!

We went to the Aquarium. I love that place! Bentley loved being able to play on the little play ground area. They have sure added a lot on to it since we'd been there last time.

Gk and Bentley have been so cute on their little bikes. Benltey just can't wait to be able to ride a bike like her big brother. She little 4-wheeler is perfect for her, sometimes she even pushes the button all on her own. She tries to ride it side saddle. Gk is really sweet most the time about letting Bentley play with his bikes!

Jenn Brandon and Jennah came by to watch a show. I wish I remembered what it was... Probably Modern Family! But these two little girls are getting so big!

Softball season is here!! I have actually hit the ball a few times and even made it on base and scored a point! I really need some practice with everything but it's a lot of fun! I'm so happy it's warmed up a bit. The first few games were freezing and once we took the kids and GK was playing in the other teams dug out the whole time... Naughty!

We have been outside every single chance we can get!

There's a sand pile by our house and sometimes it's used as a reward for going poop in the potty. GK loves to play on it. He pretends he's Buzz Lightyear and jumps off the top saying "to infiniti and beyond" and slides down on his tummy. And we've all gone for a few motorcycle rides (except Bentley of course). Patrick's motorcycle is so much fun. GK gets a little scared and says he has to go potty when he's on it.

And I finished my Patho Physiology class! YAY!!

We've just been having so much fun! Bentley always attacks Jennah whenever they are close together. It truly takes a village to raise kids. I don't know what we'd do without Jenn & Brandon!

Jenn & brandon & Jennah joined us for family night watching Shrek. We did have a lesson on prayer but animation really knows how to get Gk's attention. It was a way cute show. Thanks Juli & Jason we missed you guys, wish you were here to watch it with us!

Wow. I can't believe Bentley is 9 months already! She is such a joy!

I have to thank Jenn for half of her birthday pictures, I was a

t school and Jenn has the perfect tutu to match her shirt.

Bentley LOVES Gk! He is her favorite. She loves to walk and crawl around, she's really good at enetertaining herself which is nice. She just cut her 2 top teeth and is working on the eye teeth (are those the ones right next to the front teeth?). She doesn't quite sleep through the night she only wakes up once to eat and falls right back to sleep. She really likes to be outside, she likes the grass which I think is strange GK hated it when he was her age. She is a good little eater and if you share ice cream with her beware, she'll eat most of it (takes after me!) We just love her

so much and are so happy she's a part of our little family!

And yes we Just adore GK too. He is such a good big brother he takes good care of his little "Soccer Baby!" He turned 32 months also.

Jenn scored us some awesome tickets for an awesome Jazz game. It seems like it has been forever since Patrick & I went out on a date. It was so much fun to get out without the kids. I just have too much fun with these kids. Bentley is so cute. She loves to eat oreos. You know she loves D'Ohgee because she crawls around with things in her mouth.

Gk ca totally ride his tricycle, I thought this bike would be no problem... He can pedal once around then he tries to go backwards and you can't on the big boy bike. He'll get it soon.

Then we got out the longboards! Patrick is really good. Me, not so! But GK likes how I roll!

We wanted to go camping but since it's freezing outside we just did it at home.

Hot dogs for dinner! Then s'mores, s'mores, s'mores. I've really perfected them! We set up a tent in the theater room and when I went down Patrick had a big fire on the screen. We watched open season 2 and tried to get the kids to fall asleep... We'll have to keep trying before camping season starts!

Bentley is just getting too big!

We went to go see Patrick at work, he was busy so we went to see Jenn and we decided to go to the park and get out our wiggles! Gk climbed up the rock wall all by himself. He is so independent. And Patrick got to stop by and see us!

We went to the grizzly game to support childhood lymphoma. We had pretty good seats too. There was a good fight. I really didn't see much of the game, there's a lot of commotion taking 2 little kids but they really liked it!

Patrick & Bentley were on the jumbo tron like 5 times. It was pretty cute to see them on it!

The Sneetches, A Yertle, annd some Fish

We love Dr, Seuss' birthday at our house. We read Green eggs and ham over breakfast. We had green eggs & ham last year and it wasn't a hit, so we had yellow eggs & toast. Maybe next year we'll try again. We also read the Sneetches and found they the kids had Stars on thars!

Then we read Yertle the Turtle and then role played it. Bentley was our turtle king and Gk was the plain little turtle named Mack. It was pretty fun. Gk really didn't want to be a turtle... which is good because I don't think Bentley would like being on the bottom of the stack!

We have a humidifier with some fish in it. It became our 1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish! What a fun day! Thanks Dr. Seuss!

Gk's favorite thing lately has been "get ready, get set, GO!" He loves to say it more than race but it has made it easier to get him movin! The park by our house has some fun exercise equipment that is really fun to play on! We were lucky enough to get Jenn to come play with us too. Bentley & Jennah slept through the whole thing!

Sunday Affairs

Last Sunday the kids were so cute while we were getting ready for church. Benltey has been cruising around like crazy!

After church we went to go see daddy's other love... flying airplanes. We can see why he likes it so much. It's a lot of fun! They are really good too. They can do barrel rolls and fly upside down. It will be a lot better for us when it is a little warmer though.

Swimming & A Movie

We got to go swimming with the Dads! It was so much fun. We went to the Legacy Center in Lehi. Gk has been kinda scared of the water and going with Dad helped him see that the water is so much fun! They have a big bucket that falls and Patrick & Brandon went under, Gk wasn't that brave but he did get a lot closer and wasn't as bothered by it after he saw his Daddy and Brandon play in it.

Jennah & Bentley had matching swim suits. They looked so cute together. I am so ready for summer! Swimming helps but I can't wait until it is warm!

Later that night we watched Mega Mind. It was a pretty cute show. We're Loving the theater room! The kids are just getting SO big. It's fun to watch them.

We've had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Bentley and Gk are both getting so big and love each other So much. I love seeing how Bentley lights up when she sees him; and how Gk loves to help and is concerned when she's sad (he doesn't laugh anymore!) he says "it's okay Bentley". I love Patrick so much for giving me the opportunity to stay home. Sometimes I may seem ungrateful but I love every single minute! He is such a good man! I am one lucky girl!

Oh I thought this was SO cute!

We went swimming with Becca & Avery on Thursday. It was so fun. We had a bit of a time getting there. First I broke the garage door (I have quite the history with those things..) then we found we could fit all the kids in the Hummer! Yay! Then we couldn't find the pool, but we found it and we are so glad. The water is so warm and there weren't a lot of people there or a big scary bucket! I think we need to go back.

After we had lunch at Noodles. It was so fun for Gk to hang out with Avery, they are so much fun to watch together. Their personalities are both very outgoing so there is never a dull moment! Thanks again you guys!

St. George

Last weekend we went on vacation with Jenn & Brandon so Sweet Sunny St. George! It was so fun to get away, even if it was just for the weekend. The ride was really fun in the big mariachi van. I know we got lots of funny looks from a lot of people. It was nice to all ride together though. We stayed in a nice condo with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms and a kitchen and family room. The balcony was huge too. It was the only way to travel with our troupe.

We were pretty tired when we got there so we just went to sleep. The next morning we had a little bit of time for some breakfast then it was off to Grandma & Grandpa Muir's house. They are SO sweet. Gk was a little tazmanian devil in their beautiful home. but

we ventured outside and that was better for Gk but worse for Jennah, but it really felt good to be outside in the sunshine!

After Gk tilled the garden we went to the Pizza Factory for lunch. It was really good! Bentley & Gk loved the breadsticks! (As did I!) After lunch we went and did some shopping. We got some good stuff but not all the stuff I needed... I think I need to go back!

Then we went for a "hike" up the Dixie rock. It was really fun and I'm surprised I've never been up there before. Gk loved it. It was so fun for him to be able to run around like crazy~

That night we wanted to go swimming but it was super cold. We gave the kids a bath instead!

On Sunday morning Grandma & Grandpa Muir made us a delish breakfast! It was really good. I really need to learn how to cook!

Then we went to a park to blow off some energy and Bentley blew out her diaper!

We packed up and drove home! It was so nice to get away. We need to do that more often.

The Super Bowl

We had a great Super Bowl Party! I don't know who played or who won (I did know but I forgot!) what I do know is that Chrsitina Aguilera messed up the National Anthem, The Black Eyed Peas put on a great show, and I ate way too much food~!

So all in all it was a great day! Any excuse for a party!!

11 Years!!

Friday January 28th was our 11 year anniversary. Wow! I can't believe it's been that long... I guess time really does go faster when you are having fun. He is so much fun to be with. He makes me laugh every single day, and more importantly at myself! He is such a good Dad. I love that he puts Gk down to sleep at night so I can have some time to myself. I really am so lucky to have him! I still feel marrying Patrick was the best choice I ever made.

t to the park. It was so nice to get outside. (I definitley have the summer time blues.) Gk & Bentley both loved getting some fresh air and getting our wiggles out at the park. Gk loved the slide and Bentley got to try out the swing!

I thought Patrick was going to be working on a side job that night but he surprised me with dinner at Market Street. The food was so good and it was so nice to have Patrick all to myself for a couple of hours.

So Patrick had to do his side job on Saturday, the kids and I went to the zoo. It was a blast! A little cold and we didn't last a real long time but it was fun to go out and play some more.

Mo' Bettah, a Play Date, & Bath time!

We had a play date with Jennah and we just love her to pieces. It was so fun to have her over for a little bit. Bentley just can't get enough of her every time they are together she tries to attack her which is so cute and a little scary!

I like to put both the kids in the bath together but not this time... Gk didn't pee but we got some new bubble bath that changes the water fun colors. GK is a huge fan.

And Bentley LOVES the water. Jenn and Lyndsey and I took all the kids swimming and I need to post those pictures, we all had SO much fun!

Lucky 7

I really can't believe that Bentley is 7 whole months old! She is such a fun girl. I am so amazed at what a happy baby she is... for the most part. I know she is a little bit of a Mamma's girl but I am working on that. I just LoVe those big blue eyes. She will almost sleep through the night. Usually she wakes up once around 4:30. Her favorite person is definitely Gk. She loves him like crazy. She Loves food, especially ice-cream. She really likes to stand up. She likes tummy time too. She is really good at moving around, she gets to where SHE wants to go. We are just so happy to have her!

Patrick had his 33rd birthday this week. He is an old man now! But he still has a few more good years in him. We loved being so close to him to bug him all day. Birthdays are not just another day! We decorated the house and put a sign up at his work. We even went to work with him for a little bit. For dinner we had G-ma & G-pa watch the kids so we could go to Mo' Bettah Steaks. That place is so yummy and I don't even eat meat!

I just had to put these pictures in of my "Little Princess" (Patrick is the Big Princess) She is just growing up so fast. These blue eyes just melt my heart.

Tools & Art

Gk works so hard. He has been into Handy Manny & Bob the Builder. So He'd been really good and we were at Target so we got him some tools. He was in heaven.

The very same day Patrick got him a set of real tools but we waited to give them to him since he was happy with his play set. He is obsessed with his see-saw and screw driver. He's dented the railing already and I'm sure it's only the beginnig.

For Family Home Evening we had a lesson on Moms so I had them draw me a picture. Since Bentley eats everything I thought we should use something edible so we made some pudding. Bentley had SO much fun. I'm sure she ate more than what's good for her but it was so much fun. Gk wasn't into it as much as I thought he would be.. he was kinda tired though. So Patrick got some whipping cream and helped Gk get into it more.

A New Cousin!

We are so excited for Benton & Dyllan to get their new little brother. It is so fun to see the family grow more. Benton will be the best big brother and I'm excited Bentley will have someone close to her age. Lyndsey is due on June 19! She is just the cutest little pregnant girl!

We needed to get out of the house and decided to head to the Aquarium. I really like going there but GK doesn't last too long. I think it's too temping to run amuck with it being so open and all the big kids everywhere. I always drag him out kicking and screaming. I like going there and I'm sure we'll go bacj but I think I need some reinforcement.

The End of a Great Year!

I really wanted to see the lights @ Temple Square but Patrick really doesn't like the crowd, so I suggested we go after Christmas! I thought this was a really good idea because who else would go?! Umm... a lot of people! It was Super crowded. It was pretty cold too but I loved every bit. Gk loves Temples and it was fun to get up close. I still need to take him to temple square during the day but I might wait until it warms up a bit.

My Mom's birthday is on New Years Eve. One of my brothers and one of my sisters were in town so we had a little party for her. She is an amazing mom and I am so jealous of her birthday. We watched Despicable Me and ate lots and lots of food. Then we had some more family and friends come over for some New Years Eve fun. It was pretty crazy here we had a shoot off with Nerf guns where you had to shoot a tortilla chip, then the winners went on the a cracker, It was really hard. We played a good game of Greed. Put together a puzzle and the finale was a ton of fire works! I think some of the neighbors may have enjoyed them more than us because they could see them from inside their house. It was like 2 degrees outside. But Gk is still talking about those fireworks! (Thanks Brandon =>)

On New Years Day we really didn't do a lot. But we had to get the kids together to sport their shirts we made. They were so tired the night before. I can't believe how much they are all growing up. This is going to be a great year!

We had a fun Christmas! On Christmas Eve we enjoyed the annual Astle Family party. I wish we got to see everyone more. Twice a year just isn't enough and it is so short you don't get a chance to talk to everyone. But we had a lot of fun! Uncle Reynold read Tommy's prayer (a tradition) and the pinata was a blast. GK got some candy and he hit it all by himdself!

Christmas morning was so fun! The kids got spoiled rotten. I just love that Santa!

Bentley & Gk looked so cute in their little Christmas outfits we took way too many pictures!

Breakfast (lunch) was so good. I ate WAY too much! We always have fin & hattie, eggs, christmas slush, muffins, I'm sure there is some other meats but I don't know what they are! It was a really fun day! I can't wait for next year!

We jsut can't believe how big Jennah is getting. We are so so happy to have her in our lives.

I didn't flip the pictures and I was too lazy to worry about it, sorry. This was jsut after church one day. I can't get enough pictures of Bentley! She is growing and changing so much!

This Dog has been worth her weight in gold... and that's a lot! Gk lovese her so much. Nobody can make him laugh like she can. The other night he was chasing her around and D'Ohgee kind of got after him. Patrick & I didn't think anything of it.. Gk cam up to me and held up his finder that was black and said POO! I almost threw up! It was super gross! I don't know how she puts up with him. Maybe it's all the food he gives her...

And yes, Bentley Loves D'Ohgee too. She just wants to eat her up which is pretty gross. That dog needs a bath in a bad way!

Looks Like Christmas!

We had a great time eating up our gingerbread house. I'm sad to say it didn't last as long as they usually do... We'll be better next year. During all the unpacking it was fun to take some time out. We've been working on potty training, and some days are really good! :) Bentley is getting so big and is more & more fun all the time. ... She sure found her tongue!

Jenn & I took the kids to the Festival of the Trees. Jennah missed the whole thing but Bentley loved the lights, I thought for sure she'd fall asleep but No Way! It was a lot faster with out the boys.

We picked up a real live Christmas tree this year. It's been a long time since we've had one. It was a lot of fun, GK loved it. It made the house smell really good too, but of a mess but I think we have a new Christmas tradition!

We've been having so much fun working on the house. It's a little easier for us to hang out there now that the railing and carpet are installed. I don't feel like we're just "in the way" anymore. We've had so much help with getting it ready. So many people have come to help us, we'll have to have a huge party once we are all moved in. Our final inspection is today! Our fingers are crossed we can move in this long weekend!

Yes, I did it! I finally cut Gk's hair. Sometimes it was really cute and curly and other times it looked really awful. Patrick didn't want me to cut it I have to say. Gk looks like such a big boy! He did good for it being his first cut. He just wanted to watch the movie and have the girl leave him alone but once they gave him some bubbles to blow he kept his hands down. He is so handsome!

My friend Teena let me tag along with her to go see the new Harry Potter movie. We had planned on seeing the midnight show but she got tickets to a private screening and let me come too. It was so fun to get out and hang out with friends! It seemed like it had been a long time since I'd been anywhere without the kids. Oh, and I loved the movie, I wish I had re-read it before but I'll hopefully get them all read before the last one comes out!

Bentley is getting SO big. She is such a cute little thing. I couldn't have asked for a happier, or more easy going baby! We just love her to pieces!

Gk too is just growing up too fast. He watches everything I do, and wants to do it himself. Like wearing make-up! I think he is better at it than I am.

Our little Jennah turned 1 month old on November 10th. She is growing and changing so much all the time. I wish I got to see her everyday! She is so sweet, we just love her.

This was the first time GK & Bentley really got to see Jennah. Gk was so cute just watching and pretty good at keeping at a distance. Bentley on the other hand wanted to roll right onto her. I think they'll be good friends anyway!

On the 5th of November Paxton & McKell got baptized! It was such a nice day. They were so lucky to be baptized by their brother Carson (Who did a great job!) It was so fun to hang out with the family and to see lots of friends from our old ward.

I'm glad we got in one last warm trip to the zoo. It was such a nice day.

Every day you can find Patrick working on the house. If we want to see him then we head out there to be with him. We are so lucky to have lots of helpers too!

We stole Patrick's lunch break and made him come pick out a pumpkin for the kids. It was so fun to spend some time with him, even if it was short!

On Halloween night we had to stop by Jenn & Brandon's house. I got to see Jennah but my pics didn't turn out. :( It was fun to see them. They looked like they were having lots of fun. We got to see Rob & Kelsie and their girls and Debbie, Greg, Cheryl, Boston, & Avery. I hope Jenn & Brandon's family doesn't mind us always crashing everything!

We went to Adam & Lyndsey's house for trick or treating. Gk Loved his sloppy Joe' before. He was SO cute running around with his little bat wings just a flappin'. Michelle was SO sweet and helped him around while I took Bentley out (what was I thinking...Candy!) It was so much fun!

We've loved Halloween. Gk really likes the "Mean Old Witch" song. He'd ask me to sing it over & over. He's also been super jumpy lately. He wants to jump on & off everything. I really want to take him to Jump On It, where the whole room is full of trampolines.

We did our carving of the pumpkins. We missed Patrick & Brandon & Jenn but my mom was there to help with Gk. Gk was so cute, he really loves Bentley. It's amazing how natural it is for kids to have siblings (I was really worried, serious anxiety for nothing!) He kept giving her kiss after kiss. Sometimes it looked like he was going to eat her up!

My favorite are of course the pumpkin seeds! :0

Bentley had a lot of costumes to wear! It was fun to dress her up as something different everyday. (Thanks again Juli!)

We just love our little Jennah! I want to go see her every single day but we've been trying really hard to keep our distance when the kids are sick. But whenever we get a chance we are there. Jenn's gonna be so sick of us, but she knows she can tell us to leave!

These kids are getting SO big. Everyday I am amazed at how big and healthy they are. We are so blessed! /they really just melt my heart. Bentley laughs so hard & loud, it is the cutest thing!

We miss Patrick a lot, but we are very grateful for all the work he is putting in on our house. I know he loves it, he is having a great time and it is coming along SO fast!

Winter?

Patrick has been so busy on the house & we miss him so much! The kids both have colds so we haven't seen Jenn & Brandon a whole lot and my parents have been out of town and working a lot... So it's just been the 3 of us a lot lately and we've had a lot of fun.

I can't believe we've had our first snowfall and we got a lot of snow! GK had so much fun playing and getting his hands cold..

...because as un as it is to get cold, it's just as yummy to warm your hands!

Halloween Party!

We had our annual Lowder Halloween Party last weekend and it was so much fun! Patrick went as the Easter Bunny (he'd throw candy at the poor kids, it was pretty funny though!) I was a soccer player, Gk was supposed to be Elmo but instead was a soccer player too, and Bentley was a little ghost!

We always look forward to the witches brew! Bentley was really checking it out, and of course anything that you can blow on similar to birthday candles will get GK's attention.

We played Halloween Bingo (which is always a hit in this family!) and some other games and won lots of candy! Gk was happy just playing with his grandpa making him hamburgers on the grill. Bentley loved getting to spend time with people other than me!

Bentley's quilt & My Birthday!!

I finally finished Bentley's quilt. I was going to wait and give it to her at Christmas but I couldn't! I love how it turned out. GK's is still in the works, it might be Christmas before it is done!

I turned the BIG 3-0 on October 19th! I can't believe I am 30 years old.I had such a fun birthday. I woke up to balloons, candy, and a big birthday banner! I am a bit of a freak about my birthday, it is my day! Gk thought it was his birthday, and it kinda was (:

We went shopping with Lyndsey and Benton and had lunch at Cafe Rio! It was so yummy, thanks again Lyndsey. Then we went to the Peppermint Place and got some candy and gelato.

We met Patrick out at the house (they were sheet rocking, the house is cruising!) and we went to Gardner Village for dinner at Archibald's. It was a little busy with the whole Witch thing but we didn't really have to wait. It was so fun to have my sister Wendi & her husband Dennis and my parents come. It was such an awesome birthday, I can't wait until the next one!

Temple, Park, Party, & Jennah!

One night we went out to dinner with Jenn & Brandon and went to the Temple after. Just to walk around, GK is still obsessed with the temple. Every church and big house he asks if it is the temple, then he wants to sing I Love To See the Temple. GK knows every word, and so does Patrick. I love that he loves the Temple. It is nice to take the kids there and feel of the spirit.

We got some time to play with cousins over UEA. We went to the park and had a lot of fun. Patrick was even able to come meet us for a few miniutes. Gk's cousins take good care of him, and he loves each one so much!

Patrick's cousin Mandy has the very same birthday that I do. Her sweet husband threw her a surprise birthday party and we went along. Coincidentally it was also a surprise party for her friend Heidi! I told Patrick it could count as my party too! I was totally surprised!

After the birthday party we went to go see baby Jennah! I wish we got to see her more, but there will be a lot of time. She is just so little and we (GK) have SO many germs. I would feel terrible if we got her sick. She is so beautiful I can't wait until I get to hold her!! I love to see the love that Jenn & Brandon have for her. They have waited a long time and it hasn't been an easy road but it's all been worth it for Jennah! We love you angel!

Homecoming & Walks

We went to Fillmoore's Homecon=ming dance. Man I haven't been to a highschool football game in a long time. Gk loves football and I think he had a great time. It was really cold and really loud. Bentley isn't a huge fan of either so I spent some time walking around with her to keep her away from the cow bells! It was so much fun, I hope we can go next year too!

Adam & Lyndsey's nephew passed away last January from Leukemia. We walked in the Light the Night walk. Lyndsey & Adam both raised a lot of money for the cause and it was a really neat experience. I hope next year I can contribute a little more! The walk started at dusk and everyone carried a balloon with a light in it. The view was awesome.

WoW! TIme does fly when you are having fun! Lots of work is getting done on the houseand we've been busy running back and forth and out to play! We wen to th aquarium again and had fun. Bentley has been getting SO good at sitting up. She is growing up way too fast. We just love her So much!

We went to the Farmer's Market in Murray and Gk found a huge puddle on the way. How could I stop him?!

He ate a tomato like it was an apple. Bentley did really good in the front carrier. We don't want summer to be over!

Conference Sunday

We spent Sunday morning session of Conference with Jenn & Brandon. We had so much fun and ate SO good. Jenn's cinnamon twists are amazing, and Patrick made some Christmas eggs and french toast, with Jenn's home made syrup it was to die for! We really tried to listen to conference. Brandon was so good to set up a t.v. for Gk with a cartoon so he'd be "good" so we could listen. The only movie they had though was Alice in WOnderland, we found out GK isn't a huge fan! So they went out and played for a minute. Thanks again Brandon!

After conference we all went out to go see McKinnah. I don't know why I always forget to take my camera out while we are there. She is such an amazing girl. She's been in labor for like a week and has another week of waiting, in pain. She has been the answer to SO many of our prayers. Thank you just isn't enough.

Then we went to Benton's house in the big bus (Brandon's van) for a birthday party.

Since we had a 12 passenger van we decided to try a field trip out to the house. It was so fun.

We went back to Benton's and had a Michael Jackson dance off. It was pretty funny.

I have been craving S'mores for a long time, so Patrick was so sweet to take us in the canyon for a nice roast. It was really late after Patrick got home but it was so fun and well worth staying up late.

Gk has been a little ham lately. He really cracks me up! He loves helping with dishes (playing in the water). I left him for 2 minutes and came back to him taking a bath in the dirty dish water.

We went with Chaye & Lyndsey to the zoo. It was a lot of fun. We went on the perfect day! My favorite part is always an ice cream flavor burst. We still didn't see everything, 3 little busy boys are pretty fun though. They loved running around together!

We have been so busy lately! Everything seems to be getting bigger. Mostly Bentley! She is getting so big, I love it but it makes me a little sad. She has the biggest smile. Sometimes she is a Mamma's girl, but I think I just provide the food. We just love her to pieces!

I have really wanted to do some hiking, so I thought I'd try to take the kids... By myself. GK won't walk up a grocery aisle I don't know why I thought he'd walk up a trail. He got 10 yards laid down in the rocks and dirt and says "I'm sleeping!" So we went and played by the river and ate our lunch.

Bentley turned a whopping 3 months old! I can't believe she's that old already. She is such a big girl. She is learning how to sit up, use her hands, and her charm too! She has brought an amazing spirit into our lives. We got some yogurt to celebrate her 3 month birthday, but she didn't get any, sorry hun.

The house is sure coming along. Patrick is having SO much fun. He has wanted to do this for such a long time and I'm so glad he's having such a good time. He took some time off to help the framers, they are such good guys. Gk has loved going out there, the dump trucks, diggers/snorts, dirt, rocks... What more could a little boy want??!!

Bentley was blessed (I should say we are blessed, she is such a good baby!) on Sunday the 12th. Patrick gave a great blessing. He was sure to put in there that I named her, not us but I'll take it. The chapel was packed, I wish we all got to sit together. We had a lot of family there and it was fun to hang out. After church we went to Flat Iron Mesa for a pot luck. It was so yummy! Bentley had her first taste of ice cream and she LoVeD iT!! I really like that tradition. So thank you everyone that came, and we missed those that couldn't!

My Father-In-Law's work had a carnival one day. It was a lot of fun. We didn't stay for very long and my camera died after the bull riding. I was disappointed that Patrick didn't try it out!

Since we didn't get enough of a carnival we went to the Utah State Fair. It was a really nice night. I don't think we were in the right mood for a fair though. Everything seemed really stinky... For some reason we were antsy to get out of there. I just don't think the fair spoke to us this year... We'll try again in a few years I'm sure!

It seems like a really long time ago....

My mom and I took Gk & D'Ohgee on a hike. It was a really nice walk but really slow! We had a nice treat of blackberries on the way!

We also celebrated Brandon's birthday! I just love birthdays!

We visited McKinnah in the hospital. (I so wish I had taken pictures, she looked SO cute!) And we celebrated Brandon's birthday more!

I love getting the kids ready for church, there is like 2 minutes when they haven't gotten all messy yet. Gk still loves Bentley, I love that he is trying to give her a kiss!

It was pretty funny to have people come up to see what we are looking at just to find construction. I guess when you have a little monkey around all the time they wouldn't be as exciting!

A few weeks ago I took the kids to Gardner Village for GK to ride the ponies. It was a rainy day though and I didn't see any ponies. So we went to the candy store on the door it said "Unattended children will receive a puppy and an espresso!" I thought that was pretty cute! Life on the Farm

We went to Wheeler Farm on Wednesday. Gk loves cows ever since we went to Holly & Garrick's farm. He was so cute with them, he was trying to nuzzle & love them.

Gk gave the goat a kiss! I tried to get him to do it again but then I thought better of it. There was a chicken out and Gk would chase it to me and then I would run and scream because I was scared! Gk's laugh was adorable, he was rolling! The chicken was taking shelter under the stroller while Bentley was fast asleep. I was too scared to go near the stroller. Gk got it out for me though. I think we had quite the audience!

We ate lunch and played around some more. It's nice being really close to so many fun places to take these kids! I am so grateful I can stay home with them... but we don't really stay home.

2 Months

Last Sunday Bentley was smiling so much! It was really hard to get a picture but we sure tried. Gk was taking his nap and it was fun to have some time time with the three of us.

Then on Monday our Princess #2 turned 2 Months! (Patrick is Princess #1 for those of you who don't know!) She is getting so big. It makes me so sad, I don't want her to grow up but I am glad she is, and that she's healthy and strong. She loves her tummy time, usually. She has a really strong torso and neck. She adores her Daddy, and he adores her. She loves to watch Gk and D'Ohgee. She will almost sleep through the night, she usually only wakes up once. Bentley is so patient with me. She loves her baths too. I love her smile.

For her birthday we walked down to the Sev to get a slurpee.

Since we are going to be building a new house we spent a lot of time going through the Parade of Homes. We saw a lot of things that are way out of our budget and what all the trends are this year. One of the town houses (there were a lot this year) had a little play house with the tea set. GK had so much fun playing! He didn't want to leave.

I just love this time of year. We have been playing non-stop! Last week my Mom's work had a party for everyone's family. My Dad did the cooking so of course we went! The dutch oven food was SO good. Juli came too with her kids and Gk was in heaven, Kaycee & Jackson are so sweet with Gk.

Last Thursday we went to the zoo with Juli before they headed back to Wyoming. We got to the zoo after they had already seen all the animals and I'm glad they did, right when we got there it started POURING rain. It was really fun to watch, but we decided to go get some lunch instead. When we got home Gk got stung by a bee on his ear. I felt so bad, his ear swelled up really big but it went down fast. I was glad I didn't have to dig out the stinger.

Lyndsey's nephew passed away in January, he had leukemia. We are going to do a race and raise some money for leukemia. To get started Lyndsey had Dyllan did a lemonade stand where all the money goes to the cause,we all had fun helping out. She might do a yard sale too.

We went up to Snowbird last Friday night. Next year I want to go star gazing up there. You ride up the tram and someone tells you about the constellations. GK had a lot of fun, he got to jump on the trampolines!

Patrick took us to Yuba lake. I had never been there before and I don't think I'd believe it was there if I hadn't seen it. There were sandy beaches for digging/burying (Patrick), seagulls for chasing (Gk), and the sun for laying out in(Bentley & I)!It was a really pretty day until the wind started to blow so we headed home and...

decided to ride the trax to Salt Lake. I've ben wanting to take Gk for a ride. It was so fun. He was a little scared but it was nice to be able to hold him. He really liked people watching but he wasn't very discreet!

In the bottom left picture both Patrick & Gk look so tired! Gk was saying "sleepy," which he's never admitted to.

Terrific Tuesday

Last Tuesday Jenn had the day off work and Brandon and Jenn invited us to lunch! (Patrick was invited too but he was super busy at work, no lunch for him!) Brandon really wanted a hot dog on a stick, so we went to the mall. I just love this picture with Brandon wiping Gk's face, it almost looks like Gk is upset but he was laughing SO hard! Every time I wipe Gk's face he IS screaming 'cause he is mad...

Last time I took Gk on a carousel I got a fat lip... I could tell he was uncomfortable so I got on the horse and sat with him to calm him, well he threw his head back and I vowed I wasn't taking him on one again. But of course if Brandon is taking him, he loves it. I love how this picture turned out!

I let GK ride one of the moving toys. They had a jeep, a tractor, a 4-wheeler, and a car, but he picks out this pink ice cream looking car. We were all a little shocked because he loves tractors (or Snorts, which he says "Do-What") anyway it gave us a good laugh.

We just love having Jenn & Brandon as our friends. They have been so good to us, we really don't deserve them. They have been SO super happy lately, I love how this picture shows how they are almost aglow! It really was like their wedding day~ We love you guys!

Bentley was there, I took a picture but it didn't turn out very good. She was a super sleeper and missed out on the whole party.

My sweet little niece Kaycee turned the big 7 on August 5th. I can't believe how fast the the time has flown by. We all went to 7 peaks for her big day! I was so happy that they were here. How Fun!! Gk and I brought Grandma so we were a little late to the party, but we still had a blast! Gk loves his cousins, I wish he got to see them more.

The highlight for GK was (of course) singing happy birthday. Kaycee was a little shy, we had some confusion with 7 peaks because they closed early that day. They moved all our stuff so we had to go to the parking lot to have her party and the parking lot was CHUCK full for a private party. It was more busy than I'd ever seen it. I would have been shy too with all those people watching. So Kaycee was waiting in the car to go when we sang happy birthday (because we were all going different places and wanted cupcakes anyway, maybe we should have just left it but..) and Gk got to blow out the candle which wasn't lit because we didn't have a lighter but beside that he was SO excited!! The kid has a sick obsession that I love.

Gk's fist roller coaster... Patrick & Gk have never been to Jungle Jim's Playland. I had some friends that worked there in high school, it's a pretty fun place -a little old now. We went to a chinese restaurant for dinner right by Jungle Jim's and Gk was a bit of a pill. When will we be able to eat out again? I don't know if you can see all the sugar and salt on his face in the first pic? Well after we thought we'd try out a ride at J.J.'s. Patrick only saw this roller coaster, they have a bunch of smaller slower rides, but Patrick didn't see them. He bought us tickets for this ride. I should have known when the operator asked me if he liked fast rides, I shrugged my shoulders and said "We'll see..." Well we did and the answer is NO! We didn't last 30 seconds on the ride, I don't think it got to full speed. Next time we'll start a little slower.

Benton's Birthday!

Benton had the funnest birthday party!! He had a whole carnival. There was a huge bouncy house, a cotton candy machine, popcorn, snow cones, games, prizes, and a whole lot more!

We have been having such a fun summer. Bentley wanted her picture taken, she looked so cute and I couldn't say No!! This was right before we went to the splash park.. I forgot my camera while we were there:(.

Gk helped me make some cookies. (I was inspired by reading Becca's blog... she is much more patient than I am). We made a HUGE mess but had a lot of fun. They were delicious. Every day I get a cookie recipe from Martha Stewart and it's been way fun trying some.

We had a few nights that Bentley would be sad, so we broke out the old swing. She wasn't that into it, she was just really tired!! Gk Gk still loves it though. He gets in and turns it on, it won't swing him though. I am sure he's over the weight limit!

My SIL Lyndsey is SO sweet!! She is a crazy woman about taking pictures (like me!!) and I am so grateful! She gave me a cd of a bunch of pics that I will cherish.

I am so glad she took all these pictures at the hospital. It was so crazy and I wasn't in much of a position to be taking pictures.. my view of people wasn't the most flattering!! I will always remember every second of this day, but it's really nice though to have pictures.

One night we went out with Brandon & Jenn and thought that we would leave Gk to play with Grandma, well she had to go to the hosptial so Lyndsey and Michelle were watching Gk. He LOVES to dump out his drinks and lap it up like a dog... (So super gross when he drinks out of D'Ohgee's water dish!) Lyns & Mish thought it was so funny and got the cutest pics. I love how Gk is nuzzling up to Nibbles!

Lyndsey bought Bentley this adorable tutu. We have plans to make some, I think they are the cutest things ever! I can't wait to make some with little matching appliqued onesies! I want to put her in one every day! We decided to have a little photo shoot with the princess. (I think the headband kinda looks like the chiquita banana lady sometimes... you know the lady with the fruit basket on her head!)

This one is my Favorite! I can't believe we caught a smile!!

Fruit & Stream

On Sunday we went to the park with D'Ohgee first thing in the morning. We tried to go before it was too hot but the ground was super hot, the slides weren't bad though. We all had fun on them, even D'Ohgee. She went down the slide all by herslef. It was a little scary she was really clumsy.

It was pretty hot. Gk had been playing in the spinklers and was soaking wet when we left but he dried up fast and we were wishing the park had a sprinkler there too. So we sat in the shade and took some pics.

The plums on a tree at my parents' are ripe. Gk & I climbed up the tree to pick some. Patrick even climbed up too! Then we went out back & picked some raspberries. While we were there we decided to go to Smith & Moorehouse because they have raspberry bushes everywhere and it is a little cooler up in the mountains.

We had fun walking around and exploring but there wasn't a single ripe raspberry, I think we will need to go in about a month. Gk had so much fun watching the fish swim around and throwing rocks in the river. We went by the lake and he got really muddy so we stayed by the river.

When we were done we went to Adam & Lyndsey's for a bbq. My camera battery was dead but we had a lot of fun. We played volleyball and ate a lot! It was really fun. Darin and C'aira even came and it was fun to hang out with them too.
