Tassels... Not what you're thinking Patrick!

This last Thursday Lyndsey and I loaded up 3 boys and headed to Wyoming. On the way up we decided to stop in Park City and do just a little shopping. Well we meant to do a little, but it turned out to be a lot (for 3 boys anyway!) but we got some killer deals! We ate at Cafe Rio and headed up to Star Valley. The boys did really good, by Cokeville we needed to stretch out a little so we stopped at a park to play.
After shopping and driving we went to a graduation ceremony... Not such a good idea! GK was so sick of sitting, he really just wanted to play. We were sitting right by a basketball hoop and it was all he could focus on. We went out in the hall to run around and cool off because it was warm in the gym. When we went back in to watch C'aira get her diploma GK hucked a car at a kid 8 rows in front of us, then he fell head first off the bleacher seat and a girl just caught him before he went down again. We spent the rest of the time in the hallway!
These boys are so much fun. They love to get their picture taken sometimes... They are such good friends.
After the ceremony we took some pictures, I was still chasing GK around so Jason and Roger (C'aira's grandpa) took some pictures for me.
We are so happy and proud of C'aira. She is moving to Cache Valley (YAY) to go to Utah State so hopefully we will get to take her out to dinner and see her a little bit more.

Lander

This past weekend my Mom, GK, and I headed to Ogden. We stopped to see my Uncle Dennis, who GK and I don't see very often. I wish we saw him more often and GK does too! GK had SO much fun playing with him. We went to the park for a minute to give Dennis a rest and to let GK stretch his legs. While we were there the rest of our party showed up, Wendi and Kate came walking over I thought they were some truant high school kids! We visited with Dennis a little more and got on the road.
On the way we stopped in Farson for some delicious ice-cream. I've always wanted to stop but they are closed or we are in too big of a hurry. I strongly recommend stopping there if you are ever in the middle of Wyoming.
We were so happy to make it to Lander! Jackson wasn't feeling great so we felt bad for intruding. Juli had taight Kaycee the "Say Say Oh Playmate" song and over the weekend she mastered it. My mom got it on video, it was really cute.
On Saturday morning Kaycee lost a tooth at breakfast, it just fell right out! We went to the park and played, it was an awesome park, it has a river and tons of toys for all different ages. It was a really warm day perfect for a walk.
I totally locked my keys in the car and just realized right before we went to lunch. My Mom and sisters had planned a baby-shower for me and a lot of the stuff was in my car! But we jsut went anyway, I was so flustered that I forgot my camera when we went to lunch. My sister Jodi set up a way cute table for us. It was so sweet! I wish we got to see her and her family more but it was a busy weekend for them too. We had some yummy pizza and salad and opened a bunch of presents. My sisters and Mom really spoiled me, they weren't supposed to do anything, they've already done too much!
After lunch we went for a ride and on a few short walks. I didn't dare go too far because it obviously wasn't "my day" and I didn't want to push my luck. That night Juli made some yummy shish-kabobs for dinner, they were really good. We had to pry GK away from the basketball hoop every time we went somewhere or had to change his bum. He was in heaven.
Sunday morning, nobody really wanted to go so we played and just relaxed until it was time to go. Kaycee and Jackson are both really good on their bikes and they showed us their tricks. GK slept almost the whole way home where he didn't sleep a wink on the way up!

Peyton's Baptism

This past weekend Peyton got baptized. He is one of the newest members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
It was a really good idea to have a baptism over conference weekend.
It is always nice to hear the Prophet. It helps to make it more memorable for Peyton.
I rode up to Wendi's in Logan (she updated her blog!) on Friday and we had a lot of fun.
We took a little tour of Logan and then went to one of her friends house to watch Iron Man on their really nice movie screen.
Of course Wendi and I stayed up late talking past 1:30 in the morning.
We got up at 5:00 A.M. to to drive to Riverton, Woming to be at the baptism.
We got there with a little time to spare It was a really nice drive.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Peyton that I have ever seen. He is such a ham.
This is Dane and Peyton right before the baptism.
You know that Peyton is well loved.
Look at all the people that travelled from Utah to support him.
What a cute family.
Dane and Jodi with Riley and Peyton.
Checking out the goods. I think Peyton scored big on the baptism!
G.K. loves his aunt Jodi. She could calm him down when I couldn't.
Kate is sure growing up. I can't believe she's 12.
You always have to have a sisters shot. Jodi, Wendi, and Me.
Everyone just hanging out. Jodi fed us all so well! She is an amazing hostess.
She really isn't a Longstroth anymore. None of us can entertain like she can. You Go Jodi!

I am going tomorrow to buy one of these toys.
G.K. was being really fussy and Tandra brought this for her darling baby Isaac.
They let G.K. borrow it and he was cooing at it and smiling so big. I thought he was going to laugh.
Here Jodi is being hounded by Tobey, Barkley, and Harley.
They are such good and cute puppies! I love how they are all begging.
Thanks Juli for letting us stay at your house! It is so cute! Thanks Wendi for letting me ride up with you. It was good to catch up with everything that you are up to. And Thanks Jodi for all your hospitality. You are all amazing. I have the best sisters ever!

Star Valley Wyoming

This last weekend we took G.K. on his first road trip. We went to Star Valley. Patrick's brother lives there and we have missed out on a lot of activities their family does, so we went up for homecoming weekend. C'aira and Kortni performed at half time during the High School football game. Patrick said it was a really good game, I know they won. C'aira and Kortni were awesome! Thet are really good performers.  We got there just in the nick of time. About 30 seconds before half time. It was a close call. That would have been pretty crappy to miss them.
Friday:
Kortni is the second from the right and C'aira is the eighth from the right.
Bradon was playing on this wooden wheel.
Kortni and C'aira after their performance. Aren't they beautiful!

Here is Adam, Benton, and Lyndsey. Oh Jason is sitting next to Adam.
This was our adorable little cabin we stayed in. We didn't want to keep everyone up if G.K. had a rough night. They had the best breakfast. I am a sucker for a continental breakfast but een Patrick said it was good.
Saturday:
Quenton is playing his first year in football.
He does a really good job and likes to sac the quarterbacks.
He and I like #88 (Dale Jarrett!)
G.K. really like to watch football, but he is use to watching it on t.v.
He really calms down and it looks like he is watching it.
But here he'd rather steal Jenn's attention.
After the football game the boys were wanting to play some basketball.
Here's Jenn, Benton, and Lyndsey watching.
After the sports the boys went fishing and almost graciously took Bradon and Dyllan.
They get a long really good for a little while then not so good for a little while. Typical 6 year olds.
Us girls went shopping. Jenn stayed home to help C'aira get ready for the big dance.
I love Jackson Hole. A lot of it is overpriced but it is so much fun to see all the shops.
I almost bought Patrick a fur jock strap but decided not to.
Benton, Lyndsey, Vickie, G.K., Heidi, and Kortni I don't know why it is blurry..
Kornti with her hunk of a man! He's the long lost "Link" from the Lowder's!
You'll have to ask Patrick about this one.

When we got back from shopping we missed C'aira and her boyfriend Darin (who is a great guy!). They had already gone to Grover for dinner, we really wanted to see them so Darin was kind enough to give us permission to crash their dinner (either that or the dance). I think C'aira is really happy that they live in Star Valley, away from her crazy family.
Sunday:
On Sunday we went for a walk up to the bubbler, the rest of the girls had already gone up, but they said they'd go again so the rest of us could check it out.
You can just walk there from Jason's house.
Jason actually broke this stroller after, well the wheel came off.
Heidi and Patrick. This was the part by the golf course.
I'm shocked Patrick would stop, he's deathly afraid of golf balls. Oh and snow!
Dylland, C'aira, Jason, and Bradon. They were checking out some animal prints by the Bubbler.
We hiked just a little further and Vickie noticed a bunch of Choke cherry trees. So we gathered a couple of gallons of choke cherries for her to make some jam.
I wouldn't eat any (that's a long drive when you're not feeling well),
but everyone said they were nasty!
I'm sure Vickie can make some good jam though.
Sorry this one is crooked. I just love the fall leaves, even though I don't want it to be fall.
We took a breather.
I made Patrick and G.K. pose for this pic. I just love those leaves and those boys!
C'aira and Kortni posing for me in front of the stream and an old water mill.
Thanks Jason, Jenn, C'aira & Darin, Kortni, Quenton, Bradon, and Callie (the dog)!
We had an awesome weekend. G.K. loved his first adventure out of Utah!
I'm sure we'll be back soon.
