Halloween Party!

We had our annual Lowder Halloween Party last weekend and it was so much fun! Patrick went as the Easter Bunny (he'd throw candy at the poor kids, it was pretty funny though!) I was a soccer player, Gk was supposed to be Elmo but instead was a soccer player too, and Bentley was a little ghost!
We always look forward to the witches brew! Bentley was really checking it out, and of course anything that you can blow on similar to birthday candles will get GK's attention.
We played Halloween Bingo (which is always a hit in this family!) and some other games and won lots of candy! Gk was happy just playing with his grandpa making him hamburgers on the grill. Bentley loved getting to spend time with people other than me!

Happy Halloween

We started Halloween out by going to my Mom & Dad's house. Patrick was working on the tile and needed us to not be in the way so it worked out perfect! I only got a couple pictures before my batteries died, so I got to use my Dad's really nice camera to take some more pictures but I don't have copies yet so this one will have to do. My Mom made us lunch then we headed home so GK could get a nap. Well he fell asleep on the ride home then he was done napping (a whole 25 min). But that was fine. We had a lot to do.

We went to the store and ran some errands then it was trick-or-treating time! We went with some friends, Nathan was a sweet heart and pushed GK almost the whole time. We ran into Will who was an adorable monkey! At Denise's house GK got a lollipop and it lasted it almost the entire time we were out.
When we got back Brandon and Jenn came over. They are such good sports for hanging out with us. GK just adores them. We had yummy soup in bread bowls and some nachos. I can't remember what else but there was a lot of food. All the while handing out candy to the kids. I am so happy we ran out of full size candy bars. Every year we have a bunch left over and I am stuck eating them all. Gk was so funny watching the kids come up to the door, he was quite the little helper.
We were going to watch Vacancy but it was too scary for Jenn and me. So we watched Friday's episode of Medium and The Soup. We were going to watch The Great Pumpkin Patch but it was getting really late! I love Halloween it just gets the ball rolling for all the fun holidays coming.

Carving Pumpkins!

On Saturday we got together with the Muirs for our annual Pumpkin Carving. We started out going to the Pumpkin Patch, we got there right between rain showers so it was nice to not have it raining but it was really muddy! GK loved driving the tractors, that kid loves steering wheels! We picked out our pumpkins which was a little hard because lots were rotten because of all the cold weather.

Once we had our pumpkins we went through a little "corn maze" it was cute and GK's size but GK stepped in poo and I don't know where. It was really stinky!! But we got a killer deal on the pumpkins!
Then we headed back to do some carving. It was late by the time we got started, GK couldn't stay up to play so we'll still have to let him carve/paint a pumpkin. They really turned out good though. We've come a long way from the standard Jack-o-Lantern faces.
We are so excited for Trick or Treating this year~
Happy Halloween!

Halloween Party

The Annual Lowder Halloween party was a hit this year. We had our pumpkin parade, where we walked around Lyndsey & Adam's neighborhood, and chose our pumpkins. Lots of yummy food like home-made chili, root-beer, Mish's breadsticks, and caramel apples. We played games and had a really good spook alley. I think the only kid who went through it willingly was Madelyn and Carson. They were all really scared though. Adam and Lyndsey's unfinished basement was perfect. There was a cemetery, a room full of hanging people, a fortune teller, a crazy old woman, and a psycho doctor. Adam who was really scary wheeled all the kids around in a comfy office chair they were then tied to it. I have to say it was freaky, I wouldn't go through it!

No Leonardo, but pretty good!

On Monday night for f.h.e. brandon and jenn came over for some good old pumpkin carving.
We had a lot of fun. I know the boys were trying to avoid it. They went out shooting before and I thought they weren't going to come back until it was too late! But they did and it was a lot of fun.
Jenn's, Brandon's, Patrick's, and Heidi's pumpkins in that order.

Yes this is the smoking pumpkin. Patrick and Brandon are so funny. When the air freshener through the pumpkin didn't work, Patrick decided to try to light it on fire which as you can see, didn't work out so well either!

Witches

On Tuesday Lyndsey and Chaye and I took our little boys to the witchfest at Gardner Village! The only little boy that really ad fun was Benton of course G.K. snd Gage slept the whole time. We had a lot of fun although I spent way too much money!

Halloween Party!

On Saturday we had our annual Lowder Family Halloween Party.
It was a lot of fun. We had the classic witches brew (root beer with dry ice),
A parade down the street, and for the first time this year we played musical chairs.
Everyone had a really good time!
After the party we had a spook alley in the basement.
It was the site of a helicopter crash. It was too scary so I couldn't take any pictures.
Darin and C'aira were the most afraid.

Lowder Halloween Party

The annual Lowder Halloween Party was on last Saturday, and we had such a fun time!! All of the kids were adorable!! Patrick was supposed to be Little Red Riding Hood and I was supposed to be the Big Bad Wolf, but it was kinda last minute. Jason's family has a new addition, they got an adorable puppy. Her name is Callie. We had a spook alley that was way scary (we had to audition for our parts!). Lyndsey made some awesome caramel apples. We had a great time, I can't wait until next year!
