2 Months

Today Our little G Babe is 2 months old!
He hasn't had his big dr. appointment yet but he weighs 12 pounds and 8 ounces.
He is so much fun. We had a little photo shoot today and here are some of the pictures.

We are just a little fond of the little guy!

Advice and Cute Pic.s

So I don't know what to do with this plant.
We bought it just after we moved in (4 1/2 years ago).
I didn't think it would sat alive, and I didn't think it would grow this big.
I know there's a way to take part of it and grow a new plant..
but I don't know how to do that.
I don't know if I should throw it away or cut it back or just let it grow and take over our room.
I do like the idea of having a plant in there for the added oxygen,
but it collects so much dust it is probably more of a health hazard.
Anyway if anyone has any ideas please let me know! Thanks

I really think the leaves are cool. It looks kind of tropical!

And here are some more pictures of our beautiful baby boy!
Isn't he adorable. He is getting so big!
I'm so grateful I can stay at home and watch him grow.
I swear every day he gets bigger and bigger.
He is such a daddy's boy,
Patrick has been taking care of him all night so I could finish up on laundry and blog!
What an amazing man!

I don't know why he's tasting the couch... D'Ohgee probably left a treat for him.
 Just kidding!  Ewww...

Achin'

There have been a lot of things that I have wanted to do this summer,
and needless to say I haven't done many of them.
(And not because the baby!)
But I have really really wanted to go hiking.
I made Patrick promise me we could go on Saturday,
he dragged Jenn and Brandon into coming along.
Because misery loves company.
We went up Little Cottonwood Canyon and another thing I really wanted to do
was go to Octoberfest, so we went there first.
There were a lot of people there so we had to park really far away.
Patrick said that that was his hiking no more.
That isn't really hiking so little does he know he still owes me a good hike.
Sorry Jenn and Brandon he'll probably rope you guys into going to that too!

I guess I shouldn't complain we did walk 100 feet on the look out trail.
The weather did turn bad and it was Freezing, Jenn just had sandals on.
I'm sure she has frostbite! Sorry Jenn.
The rain really started coming down when we got to the parking lot,
so I'm glad we didn't go on a super long hike.
We got to try the 4-wheel drive on the stroller though!
It was so nice to get up in the mountains, I swear it's my therapy.

Almost Friends

So D'Ohgee still isn't a HUGE fan of G.K. but she is getting a little better!
We have fun tormenting the both of them!
We want to get a saddle for the puppy.

A New Kind of Freedom

The day after GK's blessing was s big day for the whole family.
G.K. had his first bottle. I had gone out for a run and his Dad fed him for the first time.
I know this isn't a big deal to most people but Patrick took some pretty cute pictures so I had to share them.

G.K.'s Blessing

Patrick blessed G.K at church yesterday

Patrick and I thought he'd be screaming the whole time.
He was a really good baby during the blessing.
He still didn't quite make it all the way through sacrament meeting. He was a hungry boy.
It was weird to sit on the cushiony seats, even when we get to church on time we sit in the back.

Patrick really did a good job with the blessing. Even with all the baby blessings he's done I think it was different for him to bless his own son.  I'm so grateful Patrick is a worthy priesthood holder and can give his family so many blessings.
He is truly an amazing husband, I know I don't tell him that enough.

I tried to share my testimony during the meeting, but I'm just not an eloquent speaker.
I am so grateful for everyone coming all the way down to share in our little families special day. We have had so many people be supportive while we were getting ready to start our family and now that G.K. is here we can feel the love people have for us.
I'm grateful to my mom, she was an amazing mother, and Patrick's mom has taught me a lot in the past 9 years that I've known her. I love you guys thanks or the examples.
It is so nice to know that there are so many people that support us.

After the blessing we had a little get together at our place.
There was so much yummy food! Thanks everyone for bringing something to share.
(Mikayla, Gavin, Mike, Brooklyn, and Tarese)
Everyone was helping out to get ready.  Parker, Mike and Tarese's oldest was helping me fill up this huge water pitcher in the sink. He told me that it looked like it was leaking but I didn't really pay attention, it was filling up slowly, but it was filling up. When it was full I went to find someone to lift it up for me and when I went back it wasn't as full. The spout was open. That was my little lesson for the day, I need to listen a little better.
(Lyndsey and Patrick's Mom)
Inside people were watching football while waiting for the food. Mostly because the flies and  bees were swarming outside. They were trying so hard to get in. This morning I woke up to flies buzzing around my head. They drive me crazy! I've officially killed 4 though. My aim is getting better even though my reflexes are still slow!
(Juli, Kaycee, Jodi, and Dane)
(Carson, Michelle, McKell, and Paxton)
The grill was a little smokey, I think some of the charcoals got wet so it was a smokehouse bbq.
Patrick, Patrick's Dad, and Garret)
It is tradition in Patrick's family to give the baby a taste of ice cream on their blessing day.
I'm not sure how much he liked it, he doesn't show his emotions a whole lot. But if he's anything like me he'll be able to down a pint in less than 5 minutes.
After Patrick gave G.K. an ice cream mustache, it was pretty cute, but that he knew he didn't like.
We had so much fun. It was really good to get to hang out with everyone.
We can't wait to see what an amazing little boy G K will be. He has blessed our lives so much already. I never knew having a child would change our lives so much! I'm glad we waited, I think the timing was perfect for us. He has truly brought an amazing spirit with him. I hope I can always feel it. It warms our home.

All Smiles

G. Babe has found a new trick!
He's just teasin' ya here..
There it is!
And again!
(He's our chunky monkey! I love those chubby cheeks.)
It is hard to catch, but it is so adorable!
He is really a happy baby, he gets kinda crabby at night but he's well worth it!
He is growing up too fast.

This is his usual, he just stares at things and people.
I wonder what he sees...

Brandon's Birthday

Last Saturday was Brandon's birthday, and he was kind enough to share his festivities with us!
The guys went golfing and Jenn was making Brandon the coolest cake ever! We went over to try to help by giving emotional support, because that is all we are good at. The cake was a success, Brandon really liked it. We went to eat at Texas Roadhouse (I love their rolls) for dinner and then we watched 10,000 B.C. it was a lot of fun. I can't believe Brandon is 31, he is so old! Just kidding. G.K. was really good, that was his present for all of us. Thanks you guys we had a ball!

Brandon and Jenn with the longboard cake!

Patrick torturing my poor baby!
