Old Friends!

Posted by Picasa
My friend Kristy and her husband Josh were in town for a wedding and came and spent a morning with Gk and I. We went for a walk and got to visit our friend Courtney. It was fun to catch up.

Father's Day!

For Father's Day I took both of my Princes out to breakfast at Burger King. GK loved the playground, I think mostly because there weren't any other kids there. The place was empty, so we had a lot of fun! GK loved the tater tots too. And I loved that they got a crown.
We went to Lyndsey's for a bbq. and it was so fun to hang out with everyone. Patrick made a fruit salad that was amAzing! We love the Wiggles right now and they sing a fruit salad song, we sing it all the time.
We went to my Dad's and Wendi's family was there too. We didn't get any pictures but we did have a really good dinner.
Patrick is such a good Dad and he works so hard for us. We are so lucky! We Love You Patrick.
Thanks to all the Dad's out there! We love you!

Bluffdale Towndays

Lyndsey talked everyone into going out to the Bluffdale Towndays this year and it was so much fun. We thought we'd only stay for the parade (which was a blast) but there was so much to do that looked like fun we had to stick around. Patrick's aunt Nancy and his cousin Lily and grandma Pat came too. Patrick had to work though. Gk wasn't really into the candy throwing like I thought he'd be. He really liked sitting on the chairs throwing a ball into the cup holder.. go figure!
After the parade we went to the playground to play and right by the playground was a huge pile of sand for kids to play in, complete with buried prizes. Gk had fun and we had to pry him away. There werew tons of bouncy house places that he had a lot of fun on too. and everything was free. Except the pony rides but that was really super cheap too. Patrick got a pic on his phone I'll have to get. But more than all that, people were so nice. A lady gave Gk her balloon and told us about the bouncy house. Another lady told us about crafts and it was just nice to be around super nice people.
We wanted to stay for the rodeo, but gK really needed a nap. Everyone else went and had a ball! Hopefully next year we'll make it.

Fences & Gardens

Patrick & my Dad finished off the fence for D'Ohgee so she wouldn't get out of the backyard. While they were building I was supposed to be watching Gk & D'Ohgee. Well I wasn't doing a good job at either because Gk was playing with the hose and D'Ohgee ran out while a lady was riding her bike with her dog on a leash. She was scared to death, I still feel so bad. Sorry lady! Gk sure had a fun time though. There are a lot of snails in my parents yard and Gk had fun playing with it.
Lyndsey, Michelle, & I took some of our kids to the Discovery Gardens at the Gateway. None of us had been there before and it was a lot of fun. It was a really nice and hot day, we wish we would have known about the splash park but we know now. Next time we will have swimming suits.

And speaking of gardens. My parents put in a square foot garden and they built Gk his own little section. They even put in the really nice dirt, GK loves to throw it all over himself and anyone else around.

Play Time!

Since we have moved we are a lot closer to many things that we love. With the baby coming we tried to do a lot of things just the 2 of us. We went to Wheeler Farm and saw all the animals. GK is really good at knowing which animal is which. His favorite thing there was a tractor/back hoe (Snort) which was the only tractor you couldn't play on. Poor kid was really sad.
We also went on little hike. I was thinking of going on the quarry trail, but with the water so high I didn't want to get any where near it. Of course we made it a few more times to 7 peaks. But I don't like taking my camera there too much. We've had a lot of fun though.

Bentley Ann

Last Wednesday I went to the dr. for my weekly check-up. I was sure that I was still dilated to a 3 and I'd wait and have the induction scheduled. But the dr. said I was at a 5 and he sent me down to labor & delivery! Patrick got there really fast, but there was still a bit of waiting. They broke my water at 1:00 and we had our beautiful baby girl at 4:26. The epidural slowed me down a little but I only felt 1 contraction (and it wasn't very bad). The whole process was amazing. It didn't seem real.
There has been some debate over the name. Patrick really likes Piper, and I really like Bentley. We went back and forth for months really but on her birth day I knew she was Bentley. Patrick almost changed it without telling me (he filled out the paper work)! But his conscience got the better of him and we changed it back to Bentley. But Patrick still calls her Piper and that is fine with me. They have a special bond!
Bentley Ann
6 lbs. 12 oz.
19 1/2"

She is such an angel and we are so happy that she is well and healthy.
We only stayed 1 night in the hospital because I was a little antsy to get home to GK. I missed him so much even though the rest would have been nice I'm glad we went home a little early.

Boston's Birthday

The day we moved Boston (Brandon's nephew) was celebrating his 2nd birthday. He is just a month older than Gk. They were playing at the park and swimming. Jenn was so sweet and took Gk to the park so we could get a few more things done. But for a big old pregnant body nothing sounded better than going swimming. So even though we weren't done yet I met them at the pool.

Boston was So cute! He is such a handsome little guy. I hope he and Gk are friends! Gk loves to play with Avery too. It is nice when you don't have to worry about him being too rough. Well I still worried! But she gave him a good match. She would tell him what was up! Yeah, then he would cry! But the swimming felt So good! I was so glad that I went.
GK obviously had a fantastic time!

Bees

We have been busy busy bees lately! First and foremost we sold our house and moved into my parents house. We are going to build a new house in South Jordan, so we are really excited and grateful that my parents will take us in. (Especially when we are going to have a newborn little baby any day!) But we have been really lucky. Our house sold so easily it must have been meant to be (I think it was underpriced! but meant to be sounds better
;>) So many people really helped us a lot, Michelle, Brandon, Adam, my parents, Jason, and Mike and so many more people. Thank you thank you!

Gk loved the move. He had no idea what was going on, but all the boxes and finding old toys and getting to play with things he usually wouldn't made all the work fun.
Also, my brother Dave came in town and we had a little party to celebrate his finishing medical school. He's off in California, being a big old doctor. We went for a little hike and it was nice to know that if I went into labor I would be in good hands!
GK and I spent a lot of time out of the house during the move. We went to a lot of new parks and hit a few favorite spots that we might not get to as often since we won't be in Utah County anymore. Gk has been loving slides for a while but he wouldn't go down by himself until we went to this park by the Peppermint Place. I couldn't fit my body in this slide and it was just the right size he would come down, now he isn't scared at all! Which is good & bad!
We got season passes to Seven Peaks again this year. I don't know how it will work after the baby so we have been going every week to get in as much as we can! GK loves it. He especially loves to jump in the water.

After one of my dr. appointments I took GK to The Dairy Queen for lunch and I had to get him a Dilly Bar. It brought back so many memories. Every saturday the Robinson's would take me to Dairy Queen then to South Towne Mall. We had a lot of fun there.
There is more to come...
