walks & swims

I love to go for walks. Gk hates sitting in a stroller, so I try to get him to walk. It took us 30 minutes last week to walk down 3 houses and back...

Juli had a race last week so her kids were just up the street with their Grandma & Grandpa. They invited us to come over and go swimming. GK and I were very excited! Gk misses Kaycee & Jackson. They are such fun swimmers GK just watched for about a half hour. They really had a blast! Kathy is amazing with babies. Bentley just slept the whole time.

7 peaks!

On July 15th Dyllan turned 8! I promised him a long time ago I would go to 7 peaks with him on his birthday, well I didn't think I'd have a newborn and that I wouldn't be able to go swimming. But I made a promise (and I really wanted to go)! I had my sister Wendi and her son Braden meet us there to help with GK, it worked out perfect.

Boston's Birthday

The day we moved Boston (Brandon's nephew) was celebrating his 2nd birthday. He is just a month older than Gk. They were playing at the park and swimming. Jenn was so sweet and took Gk to the park so we could get a few more things done. But for a big old pregnant body nothing sounded better than going swimming. So even though we weren't done yet I met them at the pool.

Boston was So cute! He is such a handsome little guy. I hope he and Gk are friends! Gk loves to play with Avery too. It is nice when you don't have to worry about him being too rough. Well I still worried! But she gave him a good match. She would tell him what was up! Yeah, then he would cry! But the swimming felt So good! I was so glad that I went.

GK obviously had a fantastic time!

Bees

We have been busy busy bees lately! First and foremost we sold our house and moved into my parents house. We are going to build a new house in South Jordan, so we are really excited and grateful that my parents will take us in. (Especially when we are going to have a newborn little baby any day!) But we have been really lucky. Our house sold so easily it must have been meant to be (I think it was underpriced! but meant to be sounds better

;>) So many people really helped us a lot, Michelle, Brandon, Adam, my parents, Jason, and Mike and so many more people. Thank you thank you!

Gk loved the move. He had no idea what was going on, but all the boxes and finding old toys and getting to play with things he usually wouldn't made all the work fun.

Also, my brother Dave came in town and we had a little party to celebrate his finishing medical school. He's off in California, being a big old doctor. We went for a little hike and it was nice to know that if I went into labor I would be in good hands!

GK and I spent a lot of time out of the house during the move. We went to a lot of new parks and hit a few favorite spots that we might not get to as often since we won't be in Utah County anymore. Gk has been loving slides for a while but he wouldn't go down by himself until we went to this park by the Peppermint Place. I couldn't fit my body in this slide and it was just the right size he would come down, now he isn't scared at all! Which is good & bad!

We got season passes to Seven Peaks again this year. I don't know how it will work after the baby so we have been going every week to get in as much as we can! GK loves it. He especially loves to jump in the water.

After one of my dr. appointments I took GK to The Dairy Queen for lunch and I had to get him a Dilly Bar. It brought back so many memories. Every saturday the Robinson's would take me to Dairy Queen then to South Towne Mall. We had a lot of fun there.

Time Flies!

We have been lovin' every minute of this summer and can't believe it is winding down all ready.  We finished up our Seven Peaks passes and got G.K. a sand box for the back yard since he like Bear Lake so much. Here are some more fun things we've been up to.

This was the last 7 Peaks trip... For sure want to this next summer too!!

G.K. is super independent.. which is really good and bad. He is getting really good at using a fork and spoon, here I fed him some yogurt. He started using a spoon, then his fingers in the other hand, then he was slurping up some right out of the bowl!

We love to go visit Daddy at work! He does so much for us and we are SO grateful! He is the best for taking such good care of us and working so hard while we go to the zoo and water-park.

(It's really hard work though I promise!)

We got to celebrate my Uncle Randal's birthday a week ago, it was so nice to see him! He knows so much about everything. He's always been our closest uncle. He is very hip and very cool. 

We've been going on a lot of walks and runs. Juli and I went up City creek on Friday and it felt like I was home! I know that sounds cheesey, but I just love it up there.  I hope I can go a few more times this year.

Party!

 

G.K. took his first step on Thursday, June 4th! He still isn't a "walker" but he walks more everyday and he is getting more confidence. He's had a few falls and I am not ready for him to be walking so we aren't pushing him too much. It is so fun to watch him learn and grow.

But the big story is Boston turned 1!! He is so handsome and such a sweetie!He was sharing his birthday cake with G.K. And G.K. got to meet Avery and he absolutely Loved her! She is such a doll. She has the cutest poses. G.K. always wanted to be touching her and he wanted to play with whatever she had. They kept fighting over the water bottles. It was so fun to have them all together, they are so close in age! G.K. is the bald one. I can't believe how much hair both Boston and Avery have. They are adorable!

 

We had a really yummy dinner and we went swimming (Thank Heavens the weather cooperated with us so we could swim!) Boston got a lot of really cool presents! G.K. loved this blue tunnel. He kept going back and forth through it with the biggest Grin on his face! We had such a good time! It was G.K.'s first friend party and we had so much fun, we will definitely have to play some more!

 

Not Goblin Valley

We had planned on going to Goblin Valley and the stars weren't aligning at all. Patrick was busy with work and Brandon was still sick. So we just had lots of fun around home. Jenn invited us to go swimming. We had SO much fun. We stayed out a little too long and both got more sun than we should have but it was well worth it! Jenn's sister-in-law Kelsie came with her adorable twin girls. They are so cute and Kelsie makes having twins look so easy. Thanks you guys it was a ton of fun!

On Saturday Morning Dave and I ran Millcreek Canyon's Pipeline trail. It was so beautiful! I can't keep up with him but he is a great running partner! I was happy that Patrick could watch G.K. for me so I could go. When I got home we just worked in the yard. Lyndsey and Adam came over and we got to play with Dyllan. Patrick was happy because he had an excuse to get out the beebee gun.  We all had fun. Patrick's Mom even came out to play, she is our Annie Oakley! On Saturday night we went to Jenn and Brandon's to watch the basketball game. I don't remember who played but we had yummy smoothies and surprisingly enough we didn't take any pictures! Wierd. 

 

On Sunday we had a little weenie roast with Patrick's Dad. G.K. ate a whole hot dog and part of his bun. He is such a good eater! He also had his first S'more. He was an absolute mess but he loved it!

 

We didn't go to Goblin Valley but we had a blast staying home, playing in our back yard!

Over the weekend Brandon and Jenn invited us to go swimming with them. We had never taken G.K. swimming before so we were really excited to try it. ( I bought a season pass to Seven Peaks so I was really hoping he would like it) He really did like it, you can't really tell int the pictures but he loved it. We were in the water for more than an hour and a half and I think he would have stayed in longer. That was the easiest night to get him to fall asleep. (Not to mention Patrick, because I went with my Mother In Law to get Twilight at midnight at the Lehi Wal-Mart. It was so wierd. I am a seasonal late night shopper from black friday but that is a totally different crowd. I was so annoyed with the obnoxious teenage girls, they were driving me crazy! I wish I could say I wasn't like that but I know I was. I think I was so shocked because all the teenage girls I know are a lot more mature than the girls I was standing by... and also more mature than I was. I still have nightmares about how I treated people. Thank heavens that is over!)  Thanks Brandon and Jenn we had a great time! Sorry we weren't any help with your nieces and nephews.
