Mr. Turkey!

We have so much to be thankful for! Especially this year.
We were so happy to go to Evanston and celebrate Thanksgiving with my sister's family.
John and Shaunel have a beautiful house in Evanston and were sweet enough to host the big event. They had quite the spread! There was so much food, I am still full.
Kathy Conder is an amazing cook!
The guys got to play some basketball and after dinner we played ring around the rosies until all the petals fell off the rosies.
We had such a good time! Thanks So Much!

This is a turkey that Juli, Kaycee, and Jackson made. It is my kind of turkey!
Jackson took this picture and I had to post it because he did such a good job!
Jackson playing with his aunt Shaunel.
Kaycee
This is one that Kaycee took, she is a natural!
G.K. loves his aunt Juli! Jackson isn't such a fan of her holding other babies.

Donut Falls

Today we went for a hike up to Donut Falls.
Of course we went with Jenn and Brandon.
I love going up there but I've never been in November so we weren't sure how it would go.
When we got there the gate was closed so the 3/4 mile hike turned into probably 1 mile.
It was pretty cold and windy but the sun was shining. Patrick carried G.K. the whole way and it's a good thing he did because the trial was pretty slippery and I biffed it once.

But we made it! There is a road that is a lot faster that we took on the way down that wasn't covered in as much ice and snow so it was a lot faster. We had a great time!

~Twilight~

On Thursday, cousin Mandy got us tickets to go see Twilight! Now I am a huge Twilight fan.
So whenever there is a major event I want to make t-shirts.
My mom had all the stuff but she has been on Ohio for work and to see my Grandma.
But I went over early Thursday Morning to use her computer and printer. It took a couple of hours but I finally got "Suck My Blood" with an apple in the middle.
I am not very computer savvy, but I am learning.
Lyndsey and I met at Walmart to find some cheep shirts to iron-on.

My sweet little G-Babe was really good while we were ironing.
We ironed all afternoon, but the iron-ons wouldn't transfer. Seriously we spent a long time trying to get them to work. They just wouldn't stick. So I called the 1-800 number on the packaging and figured out I had bought 100% cotton not 100% polyester or Cotton/Polyester blend. I was getting frustrated but Lyndsey started laughing and then so did I. It is pretty funny. So let this be a lesson for ya next time you want to make a custom shirt.  I sure learned my lesson.
So probably for the better we all met up at Red Robin for dinner without matching shirts.
It was really yummy! We stayed there for a long time just eating fries and chatting.
Then it was just a matter of waiting for the movie to start. I saw my friend Emily (cook) Nye at the theatre it was really fun to see her. Then we had to try DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) and before you know it we were going to the movie.

Mandy really hooked us up. The theatre was rented out by "The CandyBar" and they gave out some way cool prizes. Jenn actually won a t-shirt that was really cute.. See we didn't need to make them. Poor Jenn had a rough go when she opened the Vein Juice (Coke that Mandy made new labels for.. they were so cute! Vein juice to quench your thirst before your next meal) It totally exploded all over. Jenn was soaked. It was really funny and it woke us up at midnight.
I loved the movie. I was nervous about Edward but he did a really good job. I thought Alice was perfect. I can't wait to see the movie again. I'm making my Mom read the books so I can go with her to see it. Thanks for the tickets Mandy! I had a blast!

Happy 4 Months G.K.

15lbs. 12oz. @ 4 Months
This poor little boy is constantly getting his picture taken. I won't be surprised if he is blind by the time he is one year old. But I can't help it... It's in my genes. My whole family is this way.
I can't believe he is 4 months old! He has sure changed Our lives for the better. He is what I think about almost all day. I love that I can stay home with him and watch him grow, Thanks Patrick. He is getting really good at using his hands and finding his mouth. He is so strong too. He will almost crawl when he is on his tummy, he doesn't quite turn over but he's working on it
This is the coolest onesie yet! Thanks Sam!

I don't know why I like to put him in baskets and things. He is just so little and he doesn't seem to mind so I'll keep doing it. Poor G.K. I love you Babe~

Dyllan's Piano Recital

Last Wednesday we got the chance to see Lyndsey's son Dyllan play the piano at his recital. He is such a cute little boy. They sat him next to his friend and he wasn't really interested in listening to everyone else play the piano. He has been in piano for a year and he is really learning a lot. When he got up he was supposed to say his name and what song he was playing but he was a little nervous.
Right after I wish I'd kept recording because he said "Oh  I forgot to say my name" Really loud and everyone laughed. After we went out to dinner to The Old Spaghetti Factory. It was so yummy! I love the spamoney. Thanks Dyllan for letting us come to your special day!

The Peppermint Place?

Patrick brought me to The Peppermint Place about 6 years ago. It was an adorable little store tucked away in Alpine. They made lots of candy, the decorated suckers and had their own delicacy of chocolate dipped potato chips. The had a neat observation deck you could watch all the action.
Ever since Patrick took me there I've dreamed of taking our kids there. So this weekend Patrick was going pheasant hunting because he didn't get enough last weekend. For a special treat I thought GK would like to go see where the candy is made. Now I'm not good with directions so I knew I'd get lost but I couldn't find the building. There was one that looked just like it but it was a mattress store. I drove forever and kept going back to the mattress store I went in and they moved the candy store, you can't watch them make it anymore, and a company out of China bought it so most of the candy is shipped in.
But we went in anyway, it was still really cute, not as much candy as I like but they added a gelato machine, so I'm sure I'll go back. My point in all of this is to not wait. If you wan t go watch the candy being made don't wait to have kids, just go watch it because you might not be able to when you finally have kids. We are planning a trip to the Sweet's factory though if anyone would like to join us!

Pheasant Hunting

This last weekend Patrick and Brandon were going pheasant hunting up in Lewiston.
And the sweet Hall family were making SpudNuts and they let G.K. and I tag along to learn how.
We had so much fun. I seriously LoVe Lewiston. It is so much fun!
Cecille (Jenn's Mom) is the sweetest, she works so hard and is such a good example of how I can be a better Mom, Wife, and person. She is a really good cook.
She fed us so much and it was so yummy I really feel indebted to her.
Well Spudnuts are doughnuts that have potato in them,
but they taste the same to me as regular doughnuts.
We had a pretty awesome system Jenn cooked the doughnuts
Emily and Holly put the icing on them and sweet little Hanna put the sprinkles on top.
Hanna was so cute! She really liked her job and eating the sprinkles.
There were a lot more doughnuts, we ate quite a few
I felt like such a Homer, I was drooling all over them so I had to eat those.
My favorite were the doughnut holes because they were smaller but I think I ate 20.
This is everyone that helped in the prouction.
G.K., Holly, Trever, Cecille, Jenn,
Rachel, Hanna, Katelyn, and Emily.
Katelyn and Rachel were big helpers with GK for me.
Poor Patrick and Brandon were really really tired.
Patrick really wants a bird dog now. But we already have a dog.
They probably walked 12 miles or more.
They left just before 7:00 (Patrick woke up around 5:00 and woke up Brandon to go because the clock was off in our room. He was so excited he couldn't go back to sleep.)
Jason and Quenton met them and they hunted all over Lewiston, then to Menden.
They came back had a doughnut and took out Kyle (Jenn's nephew).
They had so much fun but they were totally worthless when we went out to dinner to Firehouse Pizza. I love that place. Dinner was so good but we had to get a trizookie to share after.
On Sunday we went to church (Do you know they have messengers in sacrament meeting?) then had a delicious dinner.
Thanks again Anthony and Cecille for your hospitality!
and Jenn and Brandon, we had an awesome weekend!
