PaPa's Day!

Today is Patrick's very first Father's Day! It has been a long time coming. I wish I could have made today more special but I tried really hard and he knows how much we love him! He really is an amazing husband and Father! He sacrifices a lot for me to stay home with G.K. He loves being a Dad and it is so obvious! We are so lucky to have our little boy. Patrick and I really don't have a clue what we are doing, but we are having a blast learning! Today G.K. and I made Patrick breakfast and went to see my Dad. Patrick was so nice to clean out his rain gutters. We went to Silver Mesa with Juli and Jason and their kids. Then we went to 5 Guys for lunch and had a party for Patrick's Mom's birthday and for Father's Day! Patrick We Love You So Much!
Thanks for Being Such a Great Dad!

RAGNAR 188

This weekend I ran in the Wasatch Back Relay. Juli has some friends that put together a team and they were a lot of fun to run with. Our team name was We Sold Our Soles To The Devil. One person couldn't run because she was sick so we were only 11 people instead of 12 doing the relay. It went 188 miles from Logan to Park City. It was so pretty. Juli and I were in van 1 with Laurie, Jeff, Ed, and Krista. It is always fun getting to know new people. The weather was pretty hot on Friday. I ran up Avon Pass (Juli got to run down!) and it was gorgeous!  Then as van 2 was running we waited at Snow Basin and ate and tried to rest in the weeds of the parking lot:> Then we ran in the middle of the night and that was my favorite run. I was running pretty fast for me and I made a friend. His name was John from Roy and we kept passing each other and we had a sprint to the finish.. he won but I had a ball! We had to drive to South Summit High School to sleep (on the gym floor!) and we waited for the other van, well we were waiting at the wrong place so they had to wait just a minute for us to backtrack a little bit. My last leg was only 2.5 miles so I ran Juli's 3.1 so she could pick up the longer run for the other van. It was pouring rain, but I loved it. The only part I didn't like was waiting for traffic on the main street in Heber. After we were done we went to eat at Squatters in Park City and waited for the other van to finish. We were caught in a terrential downpour. I felt so bad for all the families and kids waiting. They were all wet and freezing. It was fun to run across the finish line as a team! I had a great experience! My back has been killing me so thanks advil for helping me run!

Timp Cave

On Monday night Braydon and Quenton came to hang out with us. It was so fun to have them over, we don't see them near enough! We walked down to Won Won Wok and Braydon really liked the fried dumplings. Then we walked to Arctic Circle for a treat for the way home and we were swarmed by mosquitos. It was really bad, they were always flying over my head. I think I'm the only one the got bit so I'll probably get West Nile! Oh Well! On Tuesday after MUCH convincing we got Braydon to go up to Timpanogos Cave. Michelle and her kids were able to come with. I am so glad they did! It was a lot of fun. Carson, Quenton, and Garret were ahead of us. They are quite the hikers. I had to hold G.K. through the whole tour and I tried really hard not to touch any of the cave but I think G.K. and I both did! Oops. After the Cave we went and sat in the hot tub. We were supposed to cook hot dogs and marshmallows but I didn't have much for fire wood only charcoals and I don't really know how to light them. But they were having too much fun playing anyway. Thanks Michelle I couldn't have done it without you! And Thanks Jennifer and Jason for letting us steal your boys!

Saratoga Splash

Saratoga springs had their big town days this past weekend. It was so much fun! There was a 5k I ran through but I wanted to run further so I didn't sign up for it... but I think next year I will. It was a lot of fun! We went to Joel McHale on Friday night. It was really funny. He is a comedian who has a show on the E channel called The Soup. The first comedian wasn't very funny but Joel made up for it. Saratoga Springs had a boat parade that night that I wanted to go to. Hopefully we can go next year. But our little city had a parade! I don't think they've ever had one before and it went right in front of our neighborhood! It was a lot of fun! G.K. didn't quite get it but I was glad to do a test run before the big Lewiston 4th of July parade so he knows how to smile big for more candy! :D

Party!

G.K. took his first step on Thursday, June 4th! He still isn't a "walker" but he walks more everyday and he is getting more confidence. He's had a few falls and I am not ready for him to be walking so we aren't pushing him too much. It is so fun to watch him learn and grow.
But the big story is Boston turned 1!! He is so handsome and such a sweetie! He was sharing his birthday cake with G.K. And G.K. got to meet Avery and he absolutely Loved her! She is such a doll. She has the cutest poses. G.K. always wanted to be touching her and he wanted to play with whatever she had. They kept fighting over the water bottles. It was so fun to have them all together, they are so close in age! G.K. is the bald one. I can't believe how much hair both Boston and Avery have. They are adorable!

We had a really yummy dinner and we went swimming (Thank Heavens the weather cooperated with us so we could swim!) Boston got a lot of really cool presents! G.K. loved this blue tunnel. He kept going back and forth through it with the biggest Grin on his face! We had such a good time! It was G.K.'s first friend party and we had so much fun, we will definitely have to play some more!

Great Outdoors!

On Wednesday Dave and I decided to run up the Quarry trail up Little Cottonwood Canyon. I think that this is my fav. of all the canyons! I really like this trail but we couldn't go all the way because the water was so high it covered the trail and we had lunch plans. (we went to Gossip and it was really yummy, I highly recommend it!)
On Thursday Dave Really Really wanted to hike Mt. Olympus. He needed someone to hike with him and take his picture on top of the mountain so I agreed to go and again I have to thank my Mom for watching G.K. so I could go. It was the perfect day. We started at about 7:00 in the morning and got to the top about 9:30. I think I really learned a lot about myself during this hike. For example I forget about things that are in the past (probably too easily). Like how steep it is. If you ask me about this hike I will tell you how beautiful it is and that you really should hike it. I forget how steep it is. On the way down my knees were tired really fast and I didn't remember ever going up so much. About half way down we realized we lost the camera and had to hike back up for about an hour.  We did find it and we were SO happy, and I got a refresher on how steep it was. I don't think I have ever been so tired after a hike (but I probably wouldn't remember:) We are so lucky to live in such a great area with so many amazing places around each corner. Patrick has been helping his boss with some landscaping for the past 2 weeks. He works and sacrifices so much for G.K. and I. He has been out until 9:30 or 10:00 every night working. I feel guilty for all the playing I've got to do.. But I am so grateful. I think if Dave wasn't here I would have gone CrAzY missing Patrick so much! Thanks for the distractions Dave!

Getting started

On our way up. (If you have ever hiked with anyone in my family it seems like we take pictures as our "breaks" instead of saying we are tired we say, "Oh look how pretty this is, let me take your picture!")

These were at the Top! It really was gorgeous!

Not Goblin Valley

We had planned on going to Goblin Valley and the stars weren't aligning at all. Patrick was busy with work and Brandon was still sick. So we just had lots of fun around home. Jenn invited us to go swimming. We had SO much fun. We stayed out a little too long and both got more sun than we should have but it was well worth it! Jenn's sister-in-law Kelsie came with her adorable twin girls. They are so cute and Kelsie makes having twins look so easy. Thanks you guys it was a ton of fun!
On Saturday Morning Dave and I ran Millcreek Canyon's Pipeline trail. It was so beautiful! I can't keep up with him but he is a great running partner! I was happy that Patrick could watch G.K. for me so I could go. When I got home we just worked in the yard. Lyndsey and Adam came over and we got to play with Dyllan. Patrick was happy because he had an excuse to get out the beebee gun.  We all had fun. Patrick's Mom even came out to play, she is our Annie Oakley! On Saturday night we went to Jenn and Brandon's to watch the basketball game. I don't remember who played but we had yummy smoothies and surprisingly enough we didn't take any pictures! Wierd.

On Sunday we had a little weenie roast with Patrick's Dad. G.K. ate a whole hot dog and part of his bun. He is such a good eater! He also had his first S'more. He was an absolute mess but he loved it!

We didn't go to Goblin Valley but we had a blast staying home, playing in our back yard!
