Star Valley Wyoming

This last weekend we took G.K. on his first road trip. We went to Star Valley. Patrick's brother lives there and we have missed out on a lot of activities their family does, so we went up for homecoming weekend. C'aira and Kortni performed at half time during the High School football game. Patrick said it was a really good game, I know they won. C'aira and Kortni were awesome! Thet are really good performers.  We got there just in the nick of time. About 30 seconds before half time. It was a close call. That would have been pretty crappy to miss them.
Friday:
Kortni is the second from the right and C'aira is the eighth from the right.
Bradon was playing on this wooden wheel.
Kortni and C'aira after their performance. Aren't they beautiful!

Here is Adam, Benton, and Lyndsey. Oh Jason is sitting next to Adam.
This was our adorable little cabin we stayed in. We didn't want to keep everyone up if G.K. had a rough night. They had the best breakfast. I am a sucker for a continental breakfast but een Patrick said it was good.
Saturday:
Quenton is playing his first year in football.
He does a really good job and likes to sac the quarterbacks.
He and I like #88 (Dale Jarrett!)
G.K. really like to watch football, but he is use to watching it on t.v.
He really calms down and it looks like he is watching it.
But here he'd rather steal Jenn's attention.
After the football game the boys were wanting to play some basketball.
Here's Jenn, Benton, and Lyndsey watching.
After the sports the boys went fishing and almost graciously took Bradon and Dyllan.
They get a long really good for a little while then not so good for a little while. Typical 6 year olds.
Us girls went shopping. Jenn stayed home to help C'aira get ready for the big dance.
I love Jackson Hole. A lot of it is overpriced but it is so much fun to see all the shops.
I almost bought Patrick a fur jock strap but decided not to.
Benton, Lyndsey, Vickie, G.K., Heidi, and Kortni I don't know why it is blurry..
Kornti with her hunk of a man! He's the long lost "Link" from the Lowder's!
You'll have to ask Patrick about this one.

When we got back from shopping we missed C'aira and her boyfriend Darin (who is a great guy!). They had already gone to Grover for dinner, we really wanted to see them so Darin was kind enough to give us permission to crash their dinner (either that or the dance). I think C'aira is really happy that they live in Star Valley, away from her crazy family.
Sunday:
On Sunday we went for a walk up to the bubbler, the rest of the girls had already gone up, but they said they'd go again so the rest of us could check it out.
You can just walk there from Jason's house.
Jason actually broke this stroller after, well the wheel came off.
Heidi and Patrick. This was the part by the golf course.
I'm shocked Patrick would stop, he's deathly afraid of golf balls. Oh and snow!
Dylland, C'aira, Jason, and Bradon. They were checking out some animal prints by the Bubbler.
We hiked just a little further and Vickie noticed a bunch of Choke cherry trees. So we gathered a couple of gallons of choke cherries for her to make some jam.
I wouldn't eat any (that's a long drive when you're not feeling well),
but everyone said they were nasty!
I'm sure Vickie can make some good jam though.
Sorry this one is crooked. I just love the fall leaves, even though I don't want it to be fall.
We took a breather.
I made Patrick and G.K. pose for this pic. I just love those leaves and those boys!
C'aira and Kortni posing for me in front of the stream and an old water mill.
Thanks Jason, Jenn, C'aira & Darin, Kortni, Quenton, Bradon, and Callie (the dog)!
We had an awesome weekend. G.K. loved his first adventure out of Utah!
I'm sure we'll be back soon.

P.G.

About a week ago G.K. and I had an adventure. I have lived in Utah County for 4 1/2 years and I didn't know where Pleasant Grove or Linden were. I just never explore out here, I go to Salt Lake where I know where things are. But there was a boutique I wanted to go to for my Bunko gifts. I wanted to borrow the g.p.s. to get there but I forgot. Luckily my friend Brandon who works in the Orem E.W.S. guided me through. I learned that Pleasant Grove is really a pretty place. I parked at this little park and here are the pictures.

This is a stone from the Nauvoo Temple.

2 Months

Today Our little G Babe is 2 months old!
He hasn't had his big dr. appointment yet but he weighs 12 pounds and 8 ounces.
He is so much fun. We had a little photo shoot today and here are some of the pictures.

We are just a little fond of the little guy!

Advice and Cute Pic.s

So I don't know what to do with this plant.
We bought it just after we moved in (4 1/2 years ago).
I didn't think it would sat alive, and I didn't think it would grow this big.
I know there's a way to take part of it and grow a new plant..
but I don't know how to do that.
I don't know if I should throw it away or cut it back or just let it grow and take over our room.
I do like the idea of having a plant in there for the added oxygen,
but it collects so much dust it is probably more of a health hazard.
Anyway if anyone has any ideas please let me know! Thanks

I really think the leaves are cool. It looks kind of tropical!

And here are some more pictures of our beautiful baby boy!
Isn't he adorable. He is getting so big!
I'm so grateful I can stay at home and watch him grow.
I swear every day he gets bigger and bigger.
He is such a daddy's boy,
Patrick has been taking care of him all night so I could finish up on laundry and blog!
What an amazing man!

I don't know why he's tasting the couch... D'Ohgee probably left a treat for him.
 Just kidding!  Ewww...

Achin'

There have been a lot of things that I have wanted to do this summer,
and needless to say I haven't done many of them.
(And not because the baby!)
But I have really really wanted to go hiking.
I made Patrick promise me we could go on Saturday,
he dragged Jenn and Brandon into coming along.
Because misery loves company.
We went up Little Cottonwood Canyon and another thing I really wanted to do
was go to Octoberfest, so we went there first.
There were a lot of people there so we had to park really far away.
Patrick said that that was his hiking no more.
That isn't really hiking so little does he know he still owes me a good hike.
Sorry Jenn and Brandon he'll probably rope you guys into going to that too!

I guess I shouldn't complain we did walk 100 feet on the look out trail.
The weather did turn bad and it was Freezing, Jenn just had sandals on.
I'm sure she has frostbite! Sorry Jenn.
The rain really started coming down when we got to the parking lot,
so I'm glad we didn't go on a super long hike.
We got to try the 4-wheel drive on the stroller though!
It was so nice to get up in the mountains, I swear it's my therapy.

Almost Friends

So D'Ohgee still isn't a HUGE fan of G.K. but she is getting a little better!
We have fun tormenting the both of them!
We want to get a saddle for the puppy.

A New Kind of Freedom

The day after GK's blessing was s big day for the whole family.
G.K. had his first bottle. I had gone out for a run and his Dad fed him for the first time.
I know this isn't a big deal to most people but Patrick took some pretty cute pictures so I had to share them.
