11 Years!!

Friday January 28th was our 11 year anniversary. Wow! I can't believe it's been that long... I guess time really does go faster when you are having fun. He is so much fun to be with. He makes me laugh every single day, and more importantly at myself! He is such a good Dad. I love that he puts Gk down to sleep at night so I can have some time to myself. I really am so lucky to have him! I still feel marrying Patrick was the best choice I ever made.

t to the park. It was so nice to get outside. (I definitley have the summer time blues.) Gk & Bentley both loved getting some fresh air and getting our wiggles out at the park. Gk loved the slide and Bentley got to try out the swing!

I thought Patrick was going to be working on a side job that night but he surprised me with dinner at Market Street. The food was so good and it was so nice to have Patrick all to myself for a couple of hours.

So Patrick had to do his side job on Saturday, the kids and I went to the zoo. It was a blast! A little cold and we didn't last a real long time but it was fun to go out and play some more.

This weekend we wanted to see the airplanes take off! so we went up to the airport to get a closer view.. Well we didn't get really close but we had fun playing around an empty parking lot.

Then we decided we were downtown so we might as well go to the zoo. Patrick hadn't been in about 6 or 7 years! GK was so hungry (see pic. below) then he was so tired he couldn't walk and I didn't have a stroller in the car. Anyway it was a short trip, but sometimes those are the best!

st. Patrick's day

We LOVE St. Patrick's Dat at our house! Shawn Shawn the leprechaun came and played some tricks on us, but he left us some treats so it was okay.

I have been wanting to go to the zoo before it gets too hot (and I get too big!) so Lyndsey was sweet enough to join us. We had a lot of fun.

Last year GK loved the carousel, this year not so much! He would NOT sit on the seat. We finished off the day with playing on the playground. It was a crazy day but we had a blast!

The Zoo

Last Thursday Lyndsey and I went to the zoo. We were hoping we'd get to see the new baby elephant but she was still bonding with her Mommy. They had some really cute pictures of her though. But there were a ton of other baby animals there. We saw baby gophers, black footed cats, tigers, snow leopards, giraffe, and there were a lot more too. I did almost have a temper tantrum because I have been looking forward to one of those stupid ice cream cones. They have flavor bursts, I really want to try root beer and vanilla but they are always out of root beer, so I chose mint instead. While I was waiting in line the girl puts milk in the machine and doesn't say anything when I order. After I had paid and everything she says it isn't ready and all I can have is chocolate. It's pretty funny that that is my biggest problem in months!

If I Ran The Zoo

 

My adorable Sister in Law invited us to go to the zoo with them! G.K. thinks he owns the zoo with how he was walking all over. I love that he is walking now! (And it helps I remembered his shoes ;) We got to see the bird show and it is so fun! The owl hit Dyllan and I with his wings. G.K. fell on his head and got a little owie!

 The carousel is so fun. Dyllan bought this sprayer with his birthday money. He really wanted to spray my hair. I kept telling him not to because it was straight. I should have put it up and let him though. Those things feel pretty good! We had So much fun. We got to see the baby snow leopard and we found out that not only is the elephant pregnant but the giraffe is too! My favorite part of the zoo is the ice cream though!

I Promise I won't blog about the Zoo every single time!

G.K. and I needed to go see all the animals at the zoo! We had so much fun. We were eating lunch and a Turkey came up to us! (Really funny bc Patrick has been turkey hunting all month!) We had to see how we measured up to the apes! Garrison didn't love the bronze statue~ When we saw the Spyder Monkeys he looked at them and said "Dada"! Total coincidence I know but I had to laugh at that one. He was pretty tuckered out about half way through the zoo so I just walked him so he could get a good nap. As we were leaving he threw a temper tantrum about getting in his car seat. I'm sure it won't be the last!

Earth Day

 

For Earth Day Lyndsey and I took our boys to the Zoo! It has been about 6 years since I have been to the zoo (Last time was the day my Dad had a heart attack and Dyllan's first birthday!) 

It was such a nice day! It was the first time I put sunscreen on G.K. too. He's not a fan! We got a year pass so I think there will be a lot of Zoo pictures on this blog. The new Elephant exhibit is really cool. The zoo worker said there will be a baby elephant this summer!! I have been reading a lot of Dr. Seuss and one of my favorites is If I Ran The Zoo. I kept thinking of it all day. G.K. really liked some of the animals and some of them I'm not sure he really saw. But he does live with a small horse so I guess these animals aren't that big of a deal to him. He liked the monkeys because they were moving around a lot.

                                 

Lyndsey and I are pretty FuN! We rode the carousel and the train. 

I think G.K. really likes watching Benton and Dyllan play!
